Major privacy issue

The app wants access to that raises major privacy concerns. Be careful.

Wrong location

I hope the developers see this, I submitted a photo and when it was approved it was in the wrong location. I was in the location I took the picture when I submitted it but I was somewhere else when they approved it and that’s where it’s showing up on the map. Hope this can be fixed!

Please explain why photos are rejected

This app has a lot of potential. However, it would be nice to know why photos are accepted, then days later rejected. No explanation. Resubmitted. As a professional entomologist, I know what a Magicicada looks like as adult or nymph. Please provide better communication with users if you reject a photo. If one is doing something wrong with the photo, there should be feedback so one can improve.

Fantastic looking app.

Excited to contribute to this scientific endeavor!! Be warned, the app does crash an awful lot though.

Awesome App! Love Cicadas!

This app is interesting and has fun interactive tools! I can’t wait until my first Cicada citing so I can upload a picture to help track this unusual insect and it’s emergence where I live. Thank you to the creators behind this amazing app!😊

Cicada safari review

This app was pretty cool and also beneficial in learning about cicadas.

Thanks MSJ, fun app!

Will be watching for cicadas.

Great App!

Phenomenal app, loved the look and functionality of it. Excited to use it more!

Helpful

This app is awesome to find cicadas!

Awesome

This is a great app!

Interesting!

This app is really fun and cool!

Worthless

Worth less than worthless.

Potential!

I really liked following and using this app during the crazy cicada season this Summer 2021! Now I wish the exact same thing would be used…. A mirrored app…. All about sightings and getting counts of the increasingly (beneficial) invasive species… the JORO SPIDER! Please and thanks! 😁

Checking back in. With all the Joro spider on the East Coast talk that is going on, I’d love to see a version of this app made for tracking sightings of Joro Spiders as time progresses 2022 and beyond. These things will invade much of the US. Having a reporting system would be amazing!

Can’t even add a photo

I was super excited to track brood x this year. Finally cicadas emerged, only the app claims the event is over and there is no way to add a photos to prove otherwise! No way to contact or resolve the issue either.

Very glitchy

This app never responds. It doesn’t show the cicadas you have put on there. It also is shut down for the year and they just started coming out here in Blanchester Ohio. Good idea very poor execution.

Junk

I guess their all gone. Thing never worked and now there are no more sightings on map😡

Cicada

I think this app should allow pictures and videos of the annual cicadas as well. Yeah the invasion is cool and everyone wants to see it but what about the annuals too? I think any cicada should be approved.

Useless?

I’m sorry, I know a lot of work has gone into this app, but it’s just simply unusable… the map only loads with reported sittings on launch, and once you try to pan-zoom-adjust it goes blank. I know it’s not my data connection because all other sites, including maps, work as they should. I want to know where these bugs are! I want to see them. Yet, haven’t seen one this season. I’ll try to find a better tool to direct me. Maybe I’ve missed the point of this app.

Buggy App!

All of my pictures were rejected thus making this app useless and unappealing. I *may* try again but that’s seventeen years ahead.

Great idea but lousy implementation

Can’t get a new password because the procedure locks up safari. Why do I need to log in just to view the map? Why does it force portrait orientation?
