I read that this app could help you connect to a 3rd gen apple TV when you don’t have a remote (or in my case when you order a replacement remote that won’t unpair/pair either). Not true. It will not.
It asks you to input a 4-digit code on the apple TV to pair in order to use it. Exact same issue as when using the free tv remote function from apple on your phone. But that’s impossible to do if you don’t have a working paired apple TV remote to do it with! 😡 Money down the drain just to find that out.
If you’re looking for a solution to control your 3rd gen apple tv this is not it. Save your money and stay away. And shame on Apple for making it impossible to continue to use perfectly good old devices.

Didn’t mean to purchase this app @ $8! Doesn’t even work right
This app does not work.
I wanted this app to use on my watch, when it failed to function there I installed it on other devices for troubleshooting, but to no avail.
The app can’t find my wifi at all when installed on my iPhone or my iPad, and presumably the same on my Apple Watch where it just says “No devices found” with no farther explanation or options. This is the case even while the native remote control on the iPhone and iPad are working over the wifi network, and after restarting the wifi router, AppleTV, iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch.

This app doesn’t work AT ALL! I really want and will try to get my money back! It’s awful!!

The very basic connection between the app and my AppleTV 4 doesn’t work. Also the developer website is an insecure site which I won’t trust. Apple should remove this $9 app. I was hoping to find a useful AppleTV remote for my Apple Watch so I can skip and identify songs. Suggestions welcome.

I tried pairing it with Apple TV 4 but it keeps saying connection error, request timed out.

Paid for Pro version. It sees every AppleTV, but once I select one the others are no longer available - until I delete one and can then choose the other.
UPDATE: can now select multiples. Had to switch Airplane Mode on and off, and it worked. UPDATE: none of it works now. $15 or not, I’m DONE. Deleting and going back to the native app.

Remote on Apple Watch doesn’t scroll.
App needs fixing and updating. Remote control is nothing more than an image. Will not work on Apple Watch.
Waste of Money!
This app didn't sync with my Apple TV. I hope you don't get stuck wasting money on this garbage!
Half-assed at best
I paid for pro after trying the free version, it controlled 2 apple Tvs for a few months, then an update stopped that. It refuses to allow more than one device now and it's been impossible to contact support. GIVE ME MY PRO, OR GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK!
Interesting but fix it
This is an interesting app, but it has glitches. I couldn't add but one Apple TV until I deleted the app, then reinstalled it... pretty frigging bad play folks. The help button is a joke as well. Either staff up or farm out service. For almost $9 For the app, I'm sure someone can answer a question, or at least post some common issues and resolution procedures. Not asking for a lot, just an app to work as marketed.

Worst App Ever 👹
I have purchased this app for $8.99. It's a total waste of money. App is crashing a lot and on top of that it's not allowing me to add multiple Apple TVs. My advice is to stick with original Apple TV Remote App and control TV volume either with Apple Remote or TV Remote.
