About

CiMatch connects cinema lovers through shared film taste — not appearance, age, or location. Your compatibility score is calculated entirely from your overlapping favorite films. FILM DISCOVERY - Film Galaxy — an interactive cosmic map of cinema where every star is a movie. Explore genres, eras, and directors in a visual universe. - Smart Recommendations — personalized picks based on your film library, ratings, and taste patterns. - Catalog — browse and search thousands of films. Add to your watchlist, mark as watched, or save as a favorite. CINEMA GAMES - Daily Quiz — test your film knowledge with a fresh question every day. - Cinema Duel — challenge others to a film trivia battle. - Night Pick — can't decide what to watch? Pick a genre and eliminate films head-to-head until one survives. - Chronology — sort films by release date against the clock. COMMUNITY & EVENTS - Create or join film screenings — digital and physical. - Connect with people whose film libraries overlap with yours. - Chat opens only when two users share common favorite films. - Share your watchlist, favorites, and film activity. HOW COMPATIBILITY WORKS CiMatch analyzes your film library — the movies you've favorited, watched, and rated — and calculates a taste compatibility score with other users. No photos, no swiping, no location matching. Just cinema. The more films you add, the more accurate your recommendations and connections become.

The heart of this release is Cinema Eye: a curriculum that turns watching a film into a guided reading, and puts what you write on CineFeed. NEW • The Cinema Eye roadmap. A two-level map in Discover: Level 1 "Open Your Eyes" (Framing / Editing / Light / Sound) and Level 2 "Genre Eye" (Horror). Every lesson is anchored to a film: a lens before you watch, then deep-dive sections, three questions and a reading you write yourself. • Free Reading. You don't have to watch the lesson's film — apply the lens to any film you pick. • My Cinema Notebook. Every reading you write collects in one place. • Share a film reading on CineFeed. From the end of a lesson or from your notebook; the text arrives pre-filled, you edit it and post. • Cinema archetypes. 5 pure and 10 blended archetypes, with a shareable identity card on your profile. • Friend Quiz left the chat. You can send a challenge over WhatsApp now — you don't have to be matched. • Club codes. If you came from a film club, enter its code so your cohort gets counted. IMPROVEMENTS • Tighter lesson questions: three at the end of every lesson (spot it in the film, carry it to a new scene, recognise the trap), with shuffled options. • A profile photo is no longer required during sign-up. • A bridge from the lesson card to where the film can be watched. • A new "Streaming" row in Discover recommendations. FIXES • Match: the "CONNECTED" stamp no longer disappears when the last card is gone, it is no longer skipped when you decide the same way twice in a row, and an unrelated film is no longer shown as shared when there is none. • Fixed the sign-up card opening blank on some devices. • Fixed long film readings being rejected silently. • The list of people who liked you is now open to everyone. It used to be locked with no way to unlock it, and the "Go Premium" button did nothing. The lock is gone. • The favourite-film target during sign-up now shows the real threshold; it was hard-coded to "10".
