About

CinemaKit turns your iPhone into a real RAW cinema camera - not a filter, not a "look," actual sensor data you can grade like film. Capture Magic Lantern Video (MLV), CKRAW or Cinema DNG straight from your iPhone's sensor, or record ProRes 422 and HEVC pulled from the same Bayer pipeline. Shoot in Log for maximum dynamic range, apply your LUTs live or in preview, and finish with the built-in grading panel — no round trip to a desktop required. RAW CAPTURE Magic Lantern Video (MLV), CKRAW and Cinema DNG recording straight from Bayer sensor data - 8/10/12-bit precision, Open Gate sensor modes, up to 4K. LOG, LUTS & GRADING Shoot flat with Log encoding, preview or bake in your LUT, then fine-tune exposure, contrast and white balance in the built-in grading panel. No third-party app, no round trip. BUILT-IN MLV PLAYER Review your RAW footage right on your iPhone - check focus, exposure and color before it ever touches an edit bay. WIRELESS TRANSFER Start the built-in file server with one tap and pull your footage over your network - no cables, no card reader. STABILIZATION Gyro data recorded alongside every take, ready for Gyroflow - smooth, stabilized footage in post without a rig. CinemaKit is a one-time purchase - no subscription, ever. Try every feature free for 7 days before you buy.

What's New in CinemaKit

1.0.2

September 28, 2026

New Auto Exposure While Recording: an optional mode that keeps exposure adjusting smoothly as the light changes mid-shot. Off by default. Multi-select in the Library: select several clips to share or delete at once. ISO, shutter and white balance settings are now remembered when you reopen the app. White balance now shows the actual Kelvin value in Auto mode. Improved Look preview is noticeably sharper in the 1080p and 1440p crop modes, and lighter on the device. Lower memory use when browsing a Library full of RAW clips. Opening long MLV clips no longer freezes the screen. HEVC 4:2:2 and 4:4:4 options now only appear on devices that support them. Fixed Recordings on 48MP cameras could come out corrupted in Open Gate. Open Gate now records at the standard 12MP on these cameras. Share didn't work from the grid view in the Library. Tapping the active lens repeatedly could glitch the viewfinder or crash the app. Several rare crashes related to exposure changes, camera reconfiguration and HEVC recording.
