Some functions don’t work

Really gorgeous presets. I didn’t mind the bugs while the app was free and still in development, but now that it costs $17, I’d honestly expect the app to work properly. In app video recording doesn’t work. Only the photo camera works, and it also gets stuck from time to time. On the editing page, trying to use “add more from library” to import multiple photos from your iPhone doesn’t work either, the app only allows you to add one photo per edit.

Response from developer

Fair — a paid app doesn't get to hide behind "still in development", so let us be straight about all three. "Add more from Library" importing only one photo is a known bug and it's in our tracker; a launch-freeze fix shipped in the current version, so update first and see whether the camera still gets stuck. In-app video recording we still can't reproduce — send your iPhone model and iOS version to support@plivka.app and we'll chase it with your exact setup. On the $17: we've heard that too and are revising pricing downward, the change is with App Review now.

Freeze when stabilization is on

Any kind of stabilization makes the app hang and restart doesn’t help unless you disable it.

Response from developer

Confirmed — stabilization can hang the app, and it happens on some devices but not others, which is exactly why it's still open. Could you send your iPhone model and iOS version to support@plivka.app? With that we can stop guessing, and we'll write back once it's sorted.

Don’t waste your money

This is a cool concept, but the camera doesn’t work (it is just frozen on a black screen and can’t take photos) and cost $17 before you can even attempt to take pictures.

Response from developer

The black screen was a bug, not a paywall — the camera never finished starting, so of course nothing could be shot. It's fixed in the current version, so updating should give you a working viewfinder; if it somehow doesn't, write us at support@plivka.app with your iPhone model and iOS version. We're also lowering the price — that change is with App Review now — and if you'd rather not keep the app after that first experience, Apple handles refunds at reportaproblem.apple.com.
