About

Circuit Simulator bitGateLab is an electric circuits and analog electronics lab on your PC, phone or tablet: draw a circuit, measure it with multimeters and an oscilloscope, get its frequency response, turn it into block diagrams with the Laplace transform and build it on a 3D breadboard. Works offline, no account required. DRAW AND SIMULATE • DC, AC with phasors and time-domain transients, using modified nodal analysis (MNA), the same method SPICE uses. • Resistors, potentiometers, capacitors, inductors, transformers, thermistors and LDRs. • DC and AC voltage and current sources, a signal generator (sine, square, triangle and ramp) and dependent sources. • Diodes, Zener, LED, Schottky, NPN and PNP BJTs, N- and P-channel MOSFETs, JFETs and op amps with supply rails. • Undo and redo, copy and paste, rotate, replace components and node labels. MEASURE LIKE IN THE LAB • Voltmeter, ammeter, wattmeter and a multimeter-style probe on any node, pin or component. • Multichannel oscilloscope with a trace of every signal over time. • Bode plot (magnitude and phase) plus DC and frequency sweeps. LAPLACE AND CONTROL • Block diagrams: gain, H(s), integrator, differentiator, PID, delay, summing junction and saturation. • Turn your circuit into blocks and get its transfer function H(s). • Step response, poles and zeros, Bode plot and step-by-step diagram reduction. 3D BREADBOARD • Your circuit builds itself on a breadboard with resistors, capacitors, transistors, sources and wires. • Rotate, zoom and choose isometric, top, front or side view. PRACTICE EXERCISES • Generate fresh exercises on series-parallel simplification, mesh and nodal analysis, the Wheatstone bridge and AC RC, RL and RLC circuits. • Each exercise comes with its circuit, a graded question and a step-by-step solution. IMPORT AND EXPORT • Open SPICE netlists (.cir, .sp, .net) from ngspice or LTspice, including model libraries, and Falstad circuits. • Export to SPICE, Falstad and CircuiTikZ for your LaTeX documents, or as an image or PDF. FREE AND PREMIUM • Phone and tablet (Android and iOS): every feature free, with circuits of any size and with ads; Premium removes the ads. • PC (Windows): free with circuits of up to 30 components (wires and grounds don't count); Premium removes the limit. • Premium: a monthly or yearly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. FOR LEARNING AND TEACHING • Designed as a companion to an electric circuits course: whatever you work out by hand, you can check in the simulator. • Light and dark theme, European or American symbols. • 45 languages. PRIVACY No account and no cloud: your circuits are saved only on your device.
