User reviews

Wow.

This is honestly one of the best apps out there, better than other apps requiring either enormous amounts of ads or a 20 dollar subscription, but you guys only do a dollar a month, really cheap, i will think about getting it some time soon I suppose.

Best ios app for circuits

tbh best ios app for simulating circuits, even free version can do almost anything, other apps suck because they are either pay to use or barely even functional, this one is just good

Response from developer

Thanks a lot for your amazing feedback! 😊 We're really glad to hear that you're enjoying VoltSim. Our goal is to make powerful tools accessible to everyone, so it’s great to know the free version is helping you get the most out of it. If you ever have suggestions or ideas for improvements, feel free to reach out at voltsim.app@gmail.com — we’d love to hear from you!

Must have for electrical engineering.

This app is the closest thing to mobile MultiSim that I have ever used. I recommend it to anyone looking towards increasing general circuit understanding and design. The developers of the app are incredibly easy to work with, and the price for the analysis packages is an absolute deal!

Response from developer

Thank you so much for the kind words! 😊 We're really happy to hear that VoltSim is helping you with circuit understanding and design. It also means a lot to hear your feedback about our support and pricing — we’re always trying to keep things both powerful and accessible. If you ever have ideas or feature requests, feel free to reach out at voltsim.app@gmail.com. We truly appreciate your support!

What's the point?

I guess the point of this app is to get you to buy "libraries" of components from the developer, because you can't do much of anything with it otherwise. You can only sketch super basic things. You can't even make a generic placeholder IC. The ICs that are included are ridiculous, like a 'DAC' with just a couple pins and no way to rename them. The pins are D0-D3, 'O' and V+. That doesn't look like any DAC I've ever seen.

Response from developer

VoltSim is designed to offer a solid set of core features for free, while more advanced components and capabilities are available through optional libraries. That said, we definitely don’t want the free experience to feel too limiting or confusing. On each update we add some features in free and paid sections as well. Going forward, we will increase the features offered in the free version. Regarding the DAC and other components, they’re generic components simplified for learning and simulation purposes, but we agree that clearer representation and customization would make them more useful — this is something we’re actively improving. In our latest update we are adding the ability to create custom ICs from other circuits as well as with code! If you have specific components or features you’d like to see, please reach out to us at voltsim.app@gmail.com. Your feedback really helps us make VoltSim better.

Good enough

Works so far, works for beginners and good for basic designs, i still havent tested some circuits (because i downloaded it just a few days ago), so i might update this review.. but so far, its working well!

Response from developer

Thanks for giving VoltSim a try and for sharing your early experience! 😊 We’re glad to hear it’s been working well for you so far, especially for getting started and building basic designs. We are constantly working on improving the app. As you explore more complex circuits, we’d love to hear your updated feedback. If you run into anything or have suggestions, feel free to reach out at voltsim.app@gmail.com — we’re always here to help!
