APP SUCKS BALLS!!
You have to pay $39.99 a year to even be able to use the app and when you do become a premium subscriber, you still can't use any of the features!! It keeps telling you to become a premium member so you can't see past incidents from 24 hours ago. WTF!!? I am a PREMIUM MEMBER!!! What the Hell am I paying $39.99 a year for then if the app is useless!!? I'm canceling my subscription. F this!!

How is this useful?
How is this useful, when the data is all linked to your database and/or primary resources? Why is that info needed for an app entirety when using this tool in your country?
Ok but having to pay a subscription to see a nearby sex offender’s info?
I’m all for safety but having to pay to see a sex offender’s info like picture and address (especially if you have kids) nearby is bizarre. That should be available free public (even on this app).
Why would I pay for premium service if the free version sucks?
This is a real question. There’s nothing to indicate that the premium version is actually better when I’m not even getting a hint of what it could be like with the free. Other apps at least give you a taste but not Citizen. This app used to be simple. They have so much bloated garbage in it now it’s not worth my time, and definitely not worth my money. Consider it deleted.

Requires a paywall to see information on local sex offenders
This app has the audacity to warn me that there’s a sex offender living across the street from me who violently tried to rape someone according to their own records but I have to pay a fee to get more info on him?!?
Redirects Subscriptions Outside of Apple
Would love to subscribe, but the app does routes you outside of Apple’s Ecosystem to subscribe. This is great for the App Developer but terrible for you as you have to remember how to get to their website to cancel, and then they will (if they haven’t already) make you click through 5,000 pages just to cancel. Apple did away with this hassle by allowing you to cancel through the App Store. This centralized management of app subscriptions is no longer required, and I boycott app developers that redirect you outside the App Store.

One small issue, one big
As for the small issue: it shows me the same offender registered close to my work every day. I come to work and after a few hours it’s “offender registered 0.4 miles away” and it’s the same guy. No idea why it keeps showing me, but upon opening the notification to actually look at it, I discovered the big issue.
Big issue: there are a large number of registered offenders around my work and every single one of them is classified as white. If they’re Hispanic? White. Middle Eastern? White. Lighter than midnight? White. I think they get this information from a police database, I don’t blame the app, but why are we skewing the statistics by making everyone white unless they’re invisible without the flash?

I was recorded without consent
After I was ran over by a car 2 videos were uploaded of me and I want them taken down they called it person struck by car please remove them

I know freemium is a standard business model for many apps, but it’s my first day using the app and I got a push notification saying “there’s a safety threat near you, pay for premium to find out more details.” Pretty tacky.
What did you guys do to this app?
I don’t know what’s going on, but I have a few issues all of a sudden. I do videos kind of often. But now it will not let me go landscape when I’m trying to video. The map thing sucks. And you guys still have like a two minute delay between the broadcast and showed up on the app is there anyway they can speed that up?

I used to get all kind of alerts and now - just sex offenders. I really wish we had important alerts. What happened? In the summer it was so helpful. I even paid for advanced membership thinking I needed it to get more alerts … still nothing! And I KNOW there is crime! My neighbors house was broken into. I will change my review stars, if they look into this

The App Changed
You get a big red banner telling you to turn on notifications. If I wanted notifications on I would turn them on. Turn off the banner.
