About
Prepare for the U.S. citizenship civics test with the question catalog that matches your N-400 filing date. Practice answering aloud, assess your responses against USCIS reference answers, and review difficult questions with spaced repetition.
CHOOSE YOUR TEST VERSION
• Filed Form N-400 before October 20, 2025: study the 2008 test's 100 questions.
• Filed on or after October 20, 2025: study the 2025 test's 128 questions.
• Eligible 65/20 applicants can study the 20 starred questions for their selected version.
Study materials are in English. Your filing date determines the test version, not the year of your interview.
STUDY AND REVIEW
• Use multiple-choice study cards with immediate feedback.
• Focus on the topics you want to practice.
• Revisit questions when they are due with spaced repetition.
• Track your progress, session history, and streak.
• Build a routine with optional daily reminders.
REHEARSE SPOKEN ANSWERS
Answer aloud, reveal the USCIS reference answers, and assess your response yourself. Reference answers include accepted alternatives and the number of answers requested.
Practice follows your selected version's question limits and stopping rules: 6 correct out of up to 10 for the 2008 test, or 12 correct out of up to 20 for the 2025 test. The 65/20 exercise uses the 6-of-10 rule.
Speech is not recorded or automatically graded. The official civics test is oral; the multiple-choice cards are a study tool.
PREPARE YOUR LOCAL ANSWERS
