Just awful been using this company for a long time. Drivers moan if you don’t have cash. And one told me he’s going to start charging me extra if I don’t have cash. I waited in the extreme cold on sat after a while I phoned backe to be told the taxi had a puncture why couldn’t they let me know . I had to phone back another twice by that time I was nearly in tears. The lady on the telephone was so nice not her fault. But I just couldn’t do that again.

Driver wonderful
Driver was wonderful and really supportive but app no good for special trips booked in advance please telephone. Stars purely for the driver and the call person who really helped me out
Bad odour
The car smelled of curry but the driver opened the window which allowed fresh air to come in and let the odour out of the window

Fabulous service! James picked up 4 friends from Bothwell, for drop offs in Glasgow. He was personable, respectful and an all round good guy. Really appreciate the service and professionalism. Thanks to James and to City Cars.

Can’t pay in app
I never carry cash these days. We need the ability to pay via card or Apple Pay. Losing a star for that as it’s an inconvenience to stop at a cash machine
Didn’t turn up
Ordered through the app to be collected at 17:30 for a work dinner at 18:00. Taxi didn’t turn up so I called at 17:45 and was told this was only an estimated pick up time - it doesn’t say this on the app. I was also told the taxi should be 15 mins. Called back at 18:00 and was told they were still trying to find me a taxi so I had to cancel it. Will not be using this company again.

Old app worked fine. New app doesn’t allow you to see where the taxi is, doesn’t allow you to easily cancel a taxi and keeps altering your location - the favourite locations function doesn’t work, it books the taxi for another address nearby despite clicking on one of your favourite locations as the pickup address.

Avoid!
I used this company regularly till I had a shocking customer service experience with an insulting and dishonest adviser (who should have been
fired but I never chased it up) and driver who was threatening and completely unprofessional. The driver refused to let my mum out of a car, which it illegal, until payment had been verified, due to confusion over the booking. I reported the whole sorry mess to my credit card company who treated it as fraud and unacceptable behaviour and refunded me fully. It was a sad and unnecessary situation but I’d never use the company again as a result. I suggest that you avoid if you have the opportunity.

Piss poor app, piss poor drivers and piss poor customer service - nearly missed my train due to their lack of ability to run a silly car company

Used this company for years and I refuse to use any other company as they are absolutely amazing the telephonists are lovely and are very prompt and professional! Drivers and brilliant get you to where you need to be ! 10/10
Great service, app & value
Me and my family use this taxi company on a regular basis, usually via the app. It’s really good being able to track your driver and also get the car and driver details when you book. And more importantly the prices are the cheapest in Glasgow compared to many others I have used in the past! 5 stars for service, app and value.

New update is brilliant
I was having a few issues with the old app but the update is great! Allows me to track my driver, add different payment methods and I can see all the drivers details. Would night recommend to anyone looking for a reliable taxi service within Glasgow!

Absolutely love this taxi company & the new app is brilliant... I hate talking on the phone so I am so glad that I can use the app. I have mobility issues and every single driver I’ve had have always helped me getting in/out of the taxi. City cars 10/10!

Great app, great company, great taxis!!
The new app is great, i use daily - very reliable and good to see where the driver is and how long itll be until it arrives. Wouldnt use any another taxi company. Staff that work there are also very nice.
