I am an operator in Texas, using City Cheers in multiple operations. Years ago, they were working out the bugs, it even then we saw the intelligence and usefulness of the app. I just had a guest sign up, reorder a round of mimosa’s, pay and leave….he just called back asking if it’s really that easy. I have a very busy breakfast restaurant and City Cheers is proving to be a vital tool in serving our guests who are attached to their phones!! And who isn’t. Ask every restaurant you dine at if they take advantage of the City Cheers app!!

Poor design - hard to use - not good for customers
Poor design, bad flow, old data being displayed for local vendors - restaurant menus are from months if not years ago. App not secure enough for me to feel comfortable adding a credit card. Tons of extra random features that clutter the interface and offer no value.

Not worth wasting phone storage. Most restaurants done use the app yet so it’s useless and many bugs

Who ever designed this app was clueless. It's complicated and not at all intuitive. Not worth the many setup hassles to use
Saves time
Saved so much time not having to wait for my check. Now I check the app every time I go out to see what deals are in my area. Great app and I’m excited for it to be everywhere.

Upload a picture? Only make payments if you enable push notifications? I guess I will defer to Hanlon’s razor about why you would want to create so much friction a digital shopping experience.

One star is one too many
I cannot begin to list the ways in which this app is terrible. You would be better off carrying large bags of dimes to cover your check.
More frustrating than it’s worth.
Not really a fan of using this solution. I understand that it’s supposed to be a convenience for the customer to be able to pay, without having to flag down the server. IHowever, there are other solutions the restaurant can go with that doesn’t force the customer to download an app for convenience. It’s more of a convenience for the restaurant than anything, because the cost is then pushed down to the customer. Like, I have to pay a $0.50 fee to make it more convenient for the server to go about their shift and not worry about me. I understand that the restaurant can still close me out the normal way, but don’t sell me on convenience, when I have to go out of my way to get the app, and then pay for it to close my check. I’ve seen other restaurants where I can scan a QR code, and pay, without downloading an app or having to pay a fee. It’s only convenient for the restaurant bc they don’t have to pay for the customers “convenience”. The whole thing just seems inconvenient to me

Useless
I took the time to sign up and check in. The bar didn’t even know how to use it and I paid with a card.
Complicated, confusing, & difficult to use
Took several minutes of trying to use app. In the end, even cashier was stumped and had to give me reward manually. App is so bad it will discourage me from making future visits to Original Pancake House.

Awesome
This app is great for anyone that is tired of waiting for checks at the end of their meal, who loves food and finding new places to eat, and who loves being connected to their favorite restaurants. I get notifications of specials at my favorite neighborhood bar so I know when to go in, and when I am done I just pay from my phone and leave? Without a check? Sign me up !!

You have to enable push notifications to pay your tab. Why is this required? It makes no sense.
This is going to be big!
It took a bit of time to get my pic uploaded and my CC set up but after that this thing is great. I was skeptical at first but after using it twice am convinced this will be huge. There are not a lot of locations signed up yet (just the forward thinking ones it appears). Check out is a breeze and I must admit the first two times I checked out with it and walked out of the restaurant it felt strange (like I was walking the ticket) but saving the 10 minute checkout process helped me get over it! I will use this now everywhere it is accepted. I can see how this might drive customers to a restaurant as it gives the nearest locations accepting it when you open the app.

Great Idea
This is one of those apps you’ve been waiting for and didn’t even know you needed it. Your bill comes, you click pay and go. Now I want it everywhere I eat. Plus I can see all my favorite places specials all in one place.
