Not bad but not great
The gameplay isn’t terrible, it plays about as decently as any of Hex Games’ other civil war titles. However I don’t really like the mechanics used in this game such as not being able to attack while in column formation or the general lack of effectiveness regarding artillery. Other than that it isn’t that bad of a game.

I was wondering why this game is still up and all the other ACW games have been removed!Ah,it's the early Confederate flag.I thought only dictatorships sought to revise history.America,hang your head in shame.
Great game, one flaw
Great, as these games usually are. The only quirk was the artillery seemed very ineffective against infantry at close range. It never seemed to inflict multiple hits unlike in their other games. Double canister at point blank range should only cause 1 hit point loss. Other than that it is perfect.

Good, but game breaking bug
There is a bug in which whenever I try to get my units to shoot the confederates, the miss/number doesn't show up, then I lose control over everything, the end turn button doesn't work, I can't move my units etc.
