Game will not save or load any files… i love this game but that unfortunately makes it almost unplayable.
Updated Making the Game worse
Last update removed the ability to save and the ability to continue after the app is forced closed. So many gripes about this game. Why do we have to watch these long move animations? In Civ Rev 1 if you zoomed out it would make the animation very fast. Put that back in!
Can we also speed up the attack and defend animations or skip them altogether? An average game takes waaayyyy to long for an app. Please fix!!!

Great game, but it will not let me save any progress at all- I play on an ipad and whenever I try to save a game it doesn’t work- there are no slots that load after I try to save. But yes, a fun game indeed

Can’t save or reload game
A great game but as other posters say you can no longer save or reload your games. So effectively it makes the game unplayable (unless you have 2-3 hours to burn). Fingers crossed for an updated release in the future

Big fan of the game, so forth and so on, BUT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD AND ALL THINGS HOLY PLEASE FIX THE LATEST UPDATE BUGS: 1. If you change apps but didn’t close the app your game would not disappear, this no longer happens on any semblance of consistency. 2. You can’t even save a game and load it! Right, you heard that, you can’t save a civ game and then come back and successfully load it, why? Because it’s not even there, and won’t save.

Used to work properly
I can only give it three stars for atleast playing the game. But as soon as you save your progress, it’s not saved. Get Civilization VI instead.
