Is this for a future date? You should be able to with the “reverse” button that is to the left of the share button. You can email us at hello@cladwell.com if you are still having issues.
Used to be great, now used AI and doesn’t function
With the latest update you have to accept a prompt that your data will be sent to a third party AI company just to use it and it no longer functions as a closet diary - every time I edit the outfit it just tells me it’s unable to save the changes. I’m bummed I wasted money and time on this.

Improvements, but Still Frustrating and Buggy
Update: Since my original review, Cladwell has released additional updates that have restored the ability to view multiple outfit combinations at once. I appreciate that improvement, but the app still has significant functionality issues.
While I can now see the available outfit combinations, I can’t select one and assign it to a specific day. Even worse, when planning outfits for future dates, I can’t successfully create and save my own outfit. Instead, I repeatedly receive a “Couldn’t save that change” error.
Being able to explore outfit combinations and plan what I’m going to wear on specific days is a core reason I subscribe to Cladwell. These aren’t minor inconveniences; they’re fundamental features that need to work reliably.
I appreciate that the developers appear to be responding to feedback, but the new version still feels less functional and more frustrating than the previous one. I hope these issues are resolved quickly because I genuinely enjoyed the old app, but if the experience doesn’t improve, I’ll be canceling my subscription.
Original: A Major Step Backward – Please Bring Back the Old Outfit Features
I’ve been a Cladwell subscriber for years, and I’m extremely disappointed with the new version of the app. What used to be an easy, efficient, and enjoyable way to explore outfit combinations has become frustrating and unnecessarily time-consuming.
The previous version offered multiple outfit suggestions at once, and if I didn’t like them, I could generate several more options simultaneously. Now, not only are fewer outfits presented initially, but I can only generate one additional outfit at a time.
Even more frustrating, I used to be able to start with a particular outfit or clothing item and see multiple alternative combinations at once. Now I have to cycle through them individually, making the entire process significantly slower and less useful.
These changes feel like a major downgrade in functionality rather than an improvement. The ability to quickly compare multiple outfits was one of the app’s most valuable features, and removing it has made the experience considerably worse.
I sincerely hope the developers listen to longtime users and restore functionality similar to the previous version. If these changes aren’t addressed, I will be canceling my subscription. I simply can’t justify paying for an app that has become less useful and more frustrating to use.

Disappointed with update
I’ve been using this app for over 4 years and I’m so frustrated with the new update!! I lost all my outfit history, the data on what pieces I wear with what frequency and a lot of saved outfits. I get the push for AI integration, but losing what made the app so helpful and additional functionality (can no longer log an outfit without shoes, for example) is a real bummer. Hopefully something they bring back!!!

Hi friend, Your outfit history and saved outfits haven’t been lost, just moved. They are behind your history on the outfits page on the top right. Make sure you are on the latest version. If you need more help, email us at hello@cladwell.com Cladwell Support
Sixth update May 2021
May 2021. YEAHHHH Landscape has been added! THANK YOU!
I’ve been a member since launch and really have tried to love it. But the execution isn’t there. For instance this latest update wiped out my entire closet! I tried emailing three times and nothing. I’ve also tried to add my own photos which you can supposedly do with the latest update and nope. Not an option either. I’d like my yearly subscription refunded or at least an answer to one of the three emails I’ve sent. ******Update******* Great app. This little gem has made my mornings a breeze. Not only that but it helps me keep track of what I don’t wear and I donate at the end of each season. LOVE the ability to add my own pics from online. Love the Favorites tab, love the ability to schedule a couple days ahead. If I could add one thing. It would be landscape mode. PUH-LEEEZE give us landscape mode on the iPad!!!! *******2019 update******* Just keeps getting better. The latest update allows for you to browse through your closet and see all the possible outfits. You can favorite them for future reference. LOVE this. Had been waiting for this, prior to this update the app would crash right after you favorited an outfit. Also added is a social aspect which I haven’t really explored. I’m currently on day 187 logging each outfit and use this for trips I’m planning. I use it multiple times a day. Was a happy paid subscriber and was excited to see it go free. Still waiting for landscape mode on the iPad. Other than that, I wouldn’t change a thing. ****September 2019***** I’ve been trying to inquire about the paid subscription for two weeks. I can’t get an answer so I assume it’s not available anymore or worse, available but nobody is getting back to customers. That said this is still the best closet app out there. Am just disappointed that I’ve reached out several times and received no reply ******October 2019***** Well I signed up for the free trial and was shocked to see that there is still no communication. I don’t know if there has been a change in ownership but it certainly feels as if this product is going away soon. I reached out via Instagram, Facebook and email as I was directed to do and have been completely ghosted. Such a shame because this could be and actually HAS been an amazing product. But not so in the past few months. ****November 2019 Finally heard back from the developer. I was asked to send an email to the same email address I sent three separate emails on October 24th. I’ve resent one. We shall see if I get a reply. I’ll update if I do.
*****update 10/20/26
AI isn’t always better. The update was good, my disappointment is with what was taken away. There is no longer a daily count. As someone who’s logged over 3100 outfits. That’s disappointing. Secondly, the app takes a while to load another suggestion. So if you don’t care for the initial four recommendations and you hit suggest another…….it takes forever to load. And even then it only loads one outfit. For the time it takes to load I was expecting another ten or so suggestions. Sheesh.
