New features all the time

This app has been so awesome for our family. It’s allowed all our scattered family and friends to keep up with our fast growing little one without us having to keep track of messaging photos to everyone or posting to social media. The developer of this app is adding new fantastic features all the time and it keeps getting better and better to use. Works great across our split iOS/android household as well.

Amazing Private App For Families

If you don’t want to be apart of the social media circus but still share photos with your family this is a fantastic app.

L'application est facile d'utilisation. Payante (~6€/mois) mais franchement ça les vaut! Le SAV est super réactif (dans la demi heure une réponse). Mon problème a été très rapidement résolu! exceptional family photo sharing app !

in picking an app to share photos and videos of our little one with our families, we wanted to prioritize ease of use as well as maximum privacy/security. clann is the perfect app for our needs! their chat support is exceptional as well, prompt and helpful service right from the app. i highly recommend for all families!

Secure and Fun!

When it comes to choosing the most secure of the private photo sharing apps this one is the winner! The only one on the market that I have found is end to end encrypted. They are a young company and very responsive to feedback. If ever I have thought of a week it has been considered and even implemented! This app makes it easy to share photos without worrying about them getting online. A group of people I have shared our code with are able to view, react, and comment on the photos. Making this app not only secure but fun and interactive. Fun fact, I have had family say they have tried to screen shot photos from the app and it blocks them. Isn’t that fun! I don’t think you can be too safe in our current digital age with our children’s images. This app gives me a centralized place for all my photos so I don’t have to send them out individually, and so that there aren’t just photos out there for people to share without my consent. My child’s digital privacy is important. This app makes it easy to protect them!

It was a no brainer to keep our little one off social media, but we wanted an easy way to share pictures with our close family and friends. I love how private the app is, how easy it is to customize, and their transparency with data. The team is super easy to get in contact with for any questions as well!

Yes! Finally a family app that respects data privacy!

We’ve been using the app FamilyAlbum for years now, but upon learning more about data collecting and privacy I’ve been on the search to switch to a more secure and private app. Clann allows me share pics with only family and ensures that our data is ours alone.

I stumbled upon Clann and so far I’m liking it: the style of the dashboard and menus is pleasing, the security features (like no screenshots!) are awesome, everything is so secure, your data is your own which was huuuge for me.

Currently it doesn’t have a lot of the same features that FamilyAlbum offers that I and other family members really enjoy, however I know that it was mentioned that new ones are being worked on.

Things I wish it had (or will be getting soon!):
• I really like how most of the UI in FamilyAlbum is set up, especially the main dashboard and how the photo timeline is arranged (by year in main dashboard and the by month), and that all photos are organized by most recently taken first (able to swipe between months and scroll down to see all photos within that month). In Clann, it feels a little clunky.
• Separate pages for each kid are automatically compiled rather than having to manually tag in Clann (I have to add photos by kid if I want them tagged correctly)
• With the FamilyAlbum premium subscription, I can upload up to 3min videos.
• The monthly/quarterly/yearly 1s movies are a huge hit, and we always look forward to them.
• I love the widget. One of the options gives you the calendar date and randomly circulates through old photos, with unobtrusive text in the corner that tells you how long ago each pic was.
• The free (plus shipping) monthly prints are also a big hit with the grandparents.
• You can batch upload a bunch of photos at once. Also, when you add photos from your camera roll, the photo library automatically hides the photos that you’ve already added to the app so you don’t end up having multiples of the same picture.


Other than those things, it’s a great app that I’m sure will keep getting better. And it feels so good to know that the developer is a parent like us that’s also intent on keeping families’/kids’ information private, secure, and only available to who you choose to sure it with. I’ll definitely be sticking with this app.
