My Mom loves her Companion Tablet
Both my Mom and my father-in-law love their Companion tablets. I use the Claris for Caregivers app everyday to check in, send photos, messages, video calling etc. I can even adjust settings on the tablet from this app. Works great for my family!
Freezes
When I first got this it was ok, but now it constantly freezes. It’s too bad because conceptually it is great for my family member who had never used a computer or tablet.
Good in principal
This app has really great features and is relatively easy for a technically challenged person to use. As an administrator you can easily adjust the level of complexity and options for the user.
Unfortunately there are often glitches and the tech support system is brutal. While the staff are very friendly, the help line is just a call centre. You need to leave all your information and wait (maybe until the next day) for someone to call you back and then repeat your information and issue.

Photo albums
Bought this mostly for video calling and photo sharing. But I don’t see any way to organize photos into albums or folders. As we load photos, it would be nice if we could arrange them for directed viewing
4.2.1 doesn’t work
App was clunky but workable until the 4.2.1 update which broke it entirely. Won’t even start. Please fix.
Poor performance
Freezes every time I attempt to video call. Can’t see the console as I can when using a PC. Clearly these issues aren’t new, yet still no fix. Come on people! Fix it!

Needs some work
It would really be nice if more administrative controls were available on the ap. I do not always have my pc with me to tweak alert times, add medications or just check if my family member is using the companion. Love the ap for my 93 year old family member. Please add gallery view for her photos!!! She gets tired of scrolling to see the photo she wants to look at

Very limited
I have the app for my mom and was hoping to have similar controls available in the mobile app as the website. However, this is not true. Can only send messages and video call from the app. Pretty useless. It would be nice to make updates or changes to her account without logging into a computer. Please expand services for caregivers!
