User reviews

Helpful for High-schoolers like me!

I tried it and it opened my eyes to the different possibilities and chances I had in different colleges and universities and it looked at my profile and transcript and it counted everything and I liked the “Aid” feature and the possibility based on the selected major for the colleges/universities. Good recommendation for other high-schoolers like me and waiting on new features to come out

FAQ

What is Clariva's approach to college matching?

Clariva provides personalized college matches based on your GPA and test scores, categorizing them into Dream, Reach, Match, and Safety lists. It considers over 1,600 colleges and allows prioritization by state or by 'Top aid for my major'.

How does Clariva help with the application process?

Clariva offers an AI strategy insight to identify your strongest differentiator and application moves. It also provides a Gap Plan with concrete actions, a Score Predictor for standardized tests, and an Application Tracker for deadlines and documents.

Can Clariva help with essays and interviews?

Yes, Clariva includes an Essay Brainstorm feature to generate distinct angles for Common App prompts and an Interview Prep tool with AI feedback on your answers. Remember, you must write your own essay.

Is Clariva free to use?

Clariva is completely free to use, with no paywalls, ads, or subscriptions. The app is designed to provide guidance that would typically cost thousands from a private counselor.

How does Clariva handle user data and privacy?

Clariva prioritizes privacy by processing uploaded transcripts in memory without storing them. Family income data is kept on your device for the session only and is never sent to a server. You can permanently delete your account and data.

What are the limitations of Clariva's AI features?

Clariva's AI features use large language models, which can occasionally be inaccurate. It's important to always verify admit rates, deadlines, and scholarship details with each university's official site, as Clariva is a planning tool, not a guarantee of admission.

What majors does Clariva support for the Gap Plan?

Clariva supports over 30 majors across engineering, computer science, and pre-med/health sciences for its Gap Plan feature. This helps students create a concrete action plan tailored to their intended field of study.

On which devices can I use Clariva?
