Good app, needs some improvements

I love the TeacherAide (cloud) app and had higher hopes for this one. With some minor improvements it could be great!

1. Should have the TeaherAide set up academic years/semesters like TeaherAide.

2. Same integration with Google Classroom. It’s really hard to find how to make it talk with Google Classroom. This feature is so much more intuitive in TeacherAide

3. Teaching in a school that is on an A/B block schedule, having the 6 day rotation is nice. It would be really powerful to be able to add an alternate schedule day. We have occasional days where we meet with ALL of our classes and having the ability to change that in the app would be awesome.

4. The ability to talk back and forth between this and your other apps (like TeacherAide) would be incredible!

Part of the way there

I've been using this app for about 3 years, because it provides a lot of what I need on a day to day basis. It does have some significant limitations though.

1. It is now the 2025-2026 school year, and yet I can't access 2026 calendar... (this is NOT a small thing for a teacher FYI)

2. Most teachers repeat a lot of their planning calendars from year to year semester to semester. It is possible to mock this up, but you need to copy class A and then move the dates on class B.

3. Navigating class settings is not the most user friendly. I often have to poke around before I can find the function I am looking for.

Overall, this is still the closest thing I have found to what I need, but there are some warts.

Great App

Good app, loading time not so great

The app is helpful because you can easily keep track of your classes and you can see what your day and week will look like at a glance. I like the homework section and that the lesson plan section is long enough to write everything you need including material. I syncs well with other devices. The only downside I see is that it takes a while for the app to load every time to go in and out of a lesson or when going from one week to the next.

Love it but..

I love this app, but I would love to be able to type write into the text box without going to another screen to type my lesson!

Thanks for your feedback. Unfortunately, since the standard, notes and homework are all separate entities, there is no easy way fit 3 separate text boxes in the weekly view for each class.

This may not have all the features other online teacher planners have - but I absolutely love it! The ease of use and streamlined nature of the app is actually refreshing. I find it really easy to use and I love that it syncs between all my devices. Inputting data is great and I love that I can import standards! I use it every day and it has been a life saver! Totally worth the subscription!!

Great App, Great Developer

I have been using this app for about a month. It has been very easy to learn, when I’ve had a problem that I couldn’t figure out I sent a ticket to the developer. The response was very quick, and very helpful. I highly recommend this class planner app, you will not be disappointed.

I am not sure if there is a way to delete classes created, but I have not figured it out. Other than that, love the app overall.

Yes, on the class schedule screen there is a delete icon, trash can, at the top right. Tap that to find the various delete options. Email support@inpocketsolutions.com for additional assistance.

Crashing

The app seems great, but I can’t tell because it keeps crashing every time I try to add a single event such as Parent Teacher Conferences. Very frustrating since I just paid for the yearly subscription YESTERDAY.

Amazing app

I was looking for an app where I could find basic and simple tools to manage all my students and the contents. Thank you for sharing this app with us. It's almost perfect...lol.

Suggestions: 1) a student version where they could check the resume of the classes and the homework (sync function with teachers pannel). 2) An option to send a reminder to the student about futures classes, events, ...

Great for Homeschool Planning

I accidentally put reading on the wrong time and literally just want to change the time and I can’t figure it out till this day

The app does have many features packed into it, and may take a little time to learn, but please reach out if you have any trouble. There are also many YouTube tutorials I provide to help.

Damned good, but not perfect.

I’ve been using this app together with Teacher Aide Pro and Rubric Scorer 2 (both of which I absolutely recommend you purchase).

Class Planner 2 is especially valuable for the teacher who needs to submit lesson plans for administrator review (we’ll skip the whole conversation about why that’s a pointless practice) and for whom standards alignment is a recurring theme in conversations about lesson design.

The app’s current strengths are in the ability to front load standards into a database and supplement that database with sub strands. When planning a lesson, the app makes it so simple to select the standard and substandard. With a bit of front end work, aligning to standards becomes incredibly easy - no more sifting through papers or spreadsheets to find standards. Even if you’re building the lesson and then searching for a relevant standard, you can build it all right here.

Another strength is the ability to build template lesson plans. We’ve all gone through the tedium of listing objectives and populating an agenda. But now that process is a cinch. If you have recurring themed lessons (for instance, Thursdays in my high school English classroom is usually devoted to timed writing practice) you can build a template that contains all the regular structures of those lessons; just plug in the unique information that distinguishes this work from another lesson in a previous week, and you’re golden.

In terms of improvements, I’d like to see more flexibility in the template builder. Right now, you can load several standards, but if you paste in too much text and exceed the word limit, you’re unable to delete text and instead are trapped in an endless battle with the pop up message “you’ve exceeded the character limit.”

I’d also like to see the ability to develop more than the 5 class templates. I have routines in class that make template lesson plans a real time saver, but occasionally I need to change things up - whether that’s a special review for a test, or an intermittently recurring lesson or work period - like student designed projects. I’ve been using the app only a few weeks and already find this to be a limitation. 5 templates is t enough, but I think 10 would suffice. Any more than that is probably overkill.

I think a nice but not urgent addition is more integration with calendars. I work primarily from the iPad for all my education and business needs, and so I have a variety of calendars. But I find myself constantly in need of one single solution where I can see all my projects laid out on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. So far, I’m getting by with the native iPad calendar and ToDoist, but it would be so slick to integrate all of my calendared engagements - including classes and meetings in one calendar view. At least twice this quarter alone this would have saved me from double booking a guest speaker and then planning a lesson which I then had to reschedule.

I think if there were more integration across the apps as a whole this could be a one stop shop for all a teacher’s digital needs. For example, I’d love it if class planner feed the standards to Rubric Scorer 2 and Teacher Aide Pro - perhaps by allowing an option to tag an assignment and rubric element with one or more standards. This way, the reportage for student achievement would be more neatly associated with particular standards. It would be an absolute dream if Teacher Aide Pro could push the data back to Class Planner such that we could publish a report that included the lesson plan and the performance metrics for a given class.

On the whole, this is a fine application and the developer is well worth supporting. I’m not sure if it’s worth the nearly $30 (?) fee though, especially since it’s integrations with the other apps by this developer are pretty limited.

Fantastic!

I have been using this app for a few weeks now and I’m loving it so far. One thing I noticed was that you cannot add a singular event to your schedule. I reached out and left some feedback for the app creator and mentioned that I would like an option to add meetings or events that only occur one time. Within 24 hours he responded and told me that he was updating the app to include an option to add a singular event. I really appreciate the instant support and willingness to update the app to fit the needs of customers. Not only is the upgrade but the customer support is amazing. Definitely recommend!!

I never thought I would enjoy having a digital lesson planner but this app has changed my mind completely. It is well organized and I have opted in for the multiple classes feature which allows me to see my entire day layed out nice and neat.

Love this app

I teach college. This is a near perfect app. I like how I can customize the appearance to show only the classes on the days I have them. I find I’m using it all the time to add to dos (which I put in the homework area) and to add little things to remember to do during class like, “Go over assignment due next week,” or, “So and so emailed me about being absent, mark as excused.” Love this!

Homerun

This is exactly what I was looking for. For those teaching college, you can customize the appearance to show only the days of the week you have classes. You simply touch a class period to add information for what you going to be teaching. Brilliant. I also use this when I have those moments when I say to myself, "I need to remember to go over the group projects on Thursday's such and such class." I touch the box for that Thursday's class and put it there. Later when I go to prep for that class I have all my notes ready to go for the lecture.
