Needs work
Very basic, you can’t do everything on the app and need to use the website to make changes etc which is frustrating and misses the point of having an app..
DISGRACEFUL
Absolutely disheartening app. Give schools the only option to book casuals with a SINGLE TEACHER REQUEST SMS and simply allow for a reasonable time frame to reply EG next invite sent out in one hour. Most of my bookings are within school hours when I simply cannot answer my phone within 2 minutes. DELETE URGENT BOOKINGS / FASTEST FINGER FIRST!!!!!!!!! It makes me feel WORTHLESS :(

Changes are annoying
Used to be able to phone teachers directly by clicking on a link. No longer there and caused significant hassle by needing pen, paper and typing in the number rather than just clicking on the number to call.
Something to improve
I only get booking requests day-of, and need to get up at 6am every morning to receive work via the app. Every single time I open the app when I have just woken up, I get absolutely blinded by the white background even when my phone is on the lowest brightness setting possible. So I propose that there should be a dark mode option in the settings to prevent this from happening.

App review
Slow to load very hard to to update bookings. Really frustrating and costly
Only used by those with no choice
This app reduces covering classes to a cheap phone game where you receive the teacher most constantly on their phone, not the teacher best suited for the job. The interface is awful, there are constant advertisements, it hides the things used the most. But it is hard to get casual teaching work, and schools use classcover, so teachers are forced to wade through the ads and junk mail so they can get work at all.

The message takes too long to get through so I’ve missed every booking so far.
Not easy to make connections with schools
There should be some functions indicating schools have received our requests to be added on their lists.
Disappointing updates
The beauty of the previous app was filtering for teacher availability - now that is no longer and it’s an endless scroll. So not functional!
App glitch
I downloaded an update to this app last week and it is saying Queensland of Education with all my NSW credentials and compliance . The app before had everything all NSW, please fix the app as the web version is NSW which is fine .
New app needs work
Very clunky. Difficult to pick the right day for a casual to be booked on. Calendar is worse than it was before. Name selection option is very frustrating, you can’t search for a teacher without it picking someone completely random. Layout looks ok, but functionality needs a lot of work.
Unhappy
It’s not working. I lost a job yesterday because the app would not open properly and next in line got the job after 2 minutes. I opened the app and the blue class cover screen does not progress. Please fix it stat.
New app May 2026 update makes using it so much more difficult
As the person responsible for hiring casual teachers the latest update which has the app ‘built from the ground up’ makes individual teacher availability, subject areas and types invisible and takes many steps to see what are their subjects. The calendar doesn’t show who is an SLSO or a Teacher and the pre-confirmed booking system is intolerable and not at all user friendly.
They have taken all of the appearance updates they applied to the website and removed so much functionality which is saying a lot because the previous iteration of the app could be really glitchy.
It’s also SO MUCH SLOWER!
Really wish it hadn’t forced me to update it in order to use the app.

Upgrade issue
Can’t progress with placing a casual booking as update insists on selecting a class, but doesn’t accept the class or classes entered
Awful
Terrible app that freezes frequently resulting in missing out on jobs. On the occasion you do get a job, don’t be surprised if it gets cancelled because it’s a duplicate booking. There’s no alternative, so we all just have to keep using it.
Not Receiving Notifications
Notifications either don’t come through or are silent, meaning that I miss out on bookings. And yes, I’ve done everything possible in my phone settings to make sure the notifications come through and are announced.
Please focus on fixing the crashing problem.
The development team has recently become obsessed on changing the calendar colours. They’ve swapped light and dark shades, thin and wide layouts and more, all while neglecting the most frustrating issue for users which is “frequent logouts”. This happens even though users follow instructions and update both their device and the app.

How do you edit your profile?! App doesn’t give you an option??? Hopeless..

Most disappointing and frustrating
This app continually doesn’t work properly. I get notifications so late in the day, I couldn’t possibly accept job as I would not arrive in time to start the job. I am constantly missing out on days of relief because of having to use this app. I have contacted schools to let them know of this issue. All of my work came from other schools last term because they were texting me directly. This app has proved useless to me ☹️

Update is horrible
Really dislike the new calendar and general app. Bookings have been appearing on my iPad but not my phone - so have missed out on work.
