Great platform, terrible app
Love auto trader classics, but the app is absolutely terrible. It’s glitchy, freezes, doesn’t always go back a page without bringing you to the dashboard and losing your search. Overall a totally un-user friendly app. It should be really easy to fix and make more usable but Autotrader doesn’t seem to be interested in doing that- I’ve been using it for a while and it never gets any better. Too bad, because it would be the industry leader in classic car platforms, but it just doesn’t cut it.

app is trash, crashes, white screens, never follows location, it's mostly dealerships, duplicate posts, it's trash..
Doesn’t work well
Very glitchy, goes to blank screen everytime I search the site. The regular autotrader works great. Someone needs to be fired!
Used to be good
This app is borderline unusable. Developed by non car people or idiots, not sure which maybe both. It is just bad. Gave up after 20 minutes of frustration.

The worst app ever
There’s more bugs than a motel 6 mattress in this app. Go though desktop only, seems like they forgot about this app all together.
Ads are terrible
Screen continuously shrinks to allow whole screen ad to obstruct view and locks up. Useless app.
Becoming unuseable due to adds
This app used to work well. However, there are lots of bugs now. Pricing doesnt always show up, adds are cluncky, hitting the back button sends you to the top of your search list rather than where you left off. Over all pretty poor experience now.
Garbage Fire
This app has a lot of classic cars to view. As long as you don’t try to save a car as a favorite,or filter, or go into the details of the cars, or try to contact someone through the app, it’s okay. There are so many easy adjustments to make to this app to be user-friendly, I am surprised it hasn’t been done years ago. It is 2025 for crying out loud. Katy Perry was just sent to space but we can’t get this app to be user-friendly? That makes sense.

Unusable
Ads everywhere. 80% of the time you can’t see the listings cause the ads take up the whole screen and won’t close.
Ads Make App Unusable
I try browsing and everytime I close app after a couple minutes. The ads pop up and dominate the entire viewing area. There seems to be no way to dismiss ads, even after viewing timer expires. The same ads sweep in from all 4 sides of screen and basically holds you hostage.

Remove the ads…..
The ads ruined this app. You can’t even scroll to look at cars due to constant adds popping up. Just remove them if you actually want people to use the app.

The spam is horrendous and over the top constantly popping up to the point you can’t even view vehicle’s

I have used Autotrader fo many years with great results but this classics app is awful in comparison. Very glitchy, not user friendly and hard to navigate. This makes Autotrader look bad
Someone should get fired
I contacted autotrader (non classic) a few years ago and told them they need to do what classics is doing. The classic website on mobile was flawless, didn’t even need the app. It would appear the opposite has happened and classic was merged with autotrader. Now we are stuck with 2 horrible sites and two horrible apps. Way to go exec genius. No true car guy is in charge here. Uninstalled.

The filtering makes this app totally unusable
I’m going to zero in on the worst offender as it should be a dead ringer to the app’s performance. Location, location, location. I can’t tell if the app tries to detect my geolocation or simply throws a dart at a dartboard. In either case, it’s wrong. While setting my zip code to the correct value, I also limit my search to a 100 mile radius. Everything should be straight forward from here, but it isn’t. If ask the app to sort by price, the results will reflect a Nationwide search and not the specified 100 mile radius. Every move you make within this app requires you to verify that you are searching in the correct location. If you change the min/max year, you have to verify the location. Anything will knock this out of alignment.
I am certain their are other apps that fill this same need. Autotrader can do better than this. At this point in the game, data persistence is a nonissue. Please fix this!

Very good place to shop
I have been searching online on the website version of this app for years and it has been pretty good as far as I’m concerned the app is basically the same as the website. It’s easy to use, plenty of choices (at least for this car market today that is) and multiple ways to filter and/or narrow your search by mileage groups (for example 25k or lower, 50k to 99k etc.), by make/model, engine, pricing and a number of other filters and this app includes a wide variety of brands to choose from Also as far as making an offer on a car of interest it is very easy. From a buyers perspective this app is very good and super easy to get the hang of

Worst platform
This app is the worst platform to use to sell a classic vehicle. The only response to my listing have ALL been scammers. I've had not one serious buyer. This ad is not worth the money you pay for your listing. Buyer beware!
