Worse Than a Sunday League Pitch in December
By Steve Bracknall, Assistant Manager, Royal Oak FC
Look, I’m all for discipline and keeping people on task—try managing a squad of lads who were in the pub the night before a big cup game. But this Classroom.Cloud Student app? Absolute joke. It’s like having a gaffer breathing down your neck 24/7, except worse, because at least a gaffer shouts to your face, not through some dodgy bit of software.
This thing lets teachers watch your screen, block websites, and even take over your device. Imagine if I did that to the lads at Royal Oak—telling them what boots they can wear, stopping them from checking the scores at half-time, and pulling them off the pitch remotely. I’d have a mutiny on my hands.
And don’t get me started on how badly it runs. It’s slower than our right-back after a Saturday night out, crashes more than our keeper trying to claim a cross, and half the time, it won’t even connect. But when it does? Pure surveillance. You can’t do anything without being watched, like a centre-half getting followed around by a ref who loves his whistle.
Education should be about trust, not Big Brother tactics. This app is an absolute horror show. If it was a player, I’d sub it off after five minutes and tell it not to bother coming back.
Final Verdict: 0/5 – Wouldn’t even use it to scout the opposition.

Invasion of my personal privacy
I think this app is unacceptable and a total invasion of my privacy. My school is forcing me to download this app i do not believe an app like this should not be made becuase it is we are living in a dystopian novel. This is completely unacceptable and I feel like school is becoming more like prison every day

Invasion of privacy
I am an angry student and I believe this is a complete joke! What type of school allows such integrated monitoring in students to the point of managing their OWN devices - this is school not PRISON ???
