About

CleanPhotos finds what your library has quietly accumulated: the five burst frames from one moment, the same shot before and after an edit, screenshots from two years ago, videos you forgot were 4K, and the blurry misfires. It runs entirely on your iPhone. Nothing is uploaded. WHAT IT FINDS • Similar photos — near-identical frames from one moment, grouped together, with a suggestion for which to keep • Exact duplicates — the same file imported or saved twice • Screenshots and large videos — usually the biggest single win, and the easiest to decide on • Blurry shots — misfires worth a second look HOW IT DECIDES WHAT TO KEEP Within a group, CleanPhotos scores sharpness, faces (how many, and whether eyes are open), resolution and file size. It also respects what you have already told iOS: a favorite is kept, an edited version wins over the original. The suggestion is a suggestion. Every group is open for you to change, and nothing is deleted until you say so — twice, because iOS asks again. PRICING One purchase. Not a subscription. It does not renew, and there is nothing to remember to cancel. Scanning and seeing every result is free, always — no blurred previews, no locked rows. You can clean up group by group for free, plus a daily allowance. Paying unlocks unlimited one-tap cleanup: it buys you time, not access to your own results. PRIVACY No account. No analytics. No advertising. No third-party SDKs of any kind. Apart from the App Store purchase, which iOS handles, the app makes no network requests — the binary does not even link the networking framework. Your photos, their thumbnails, and the data extracted from them never leave this device. ABOUT DELETING Deleted photos go to Recently Deleted in the Photos app. They stay recoverable for 30 days, and the storage is not released until then. That is how iOS works — the app says so on the results screen rather than letting you find out later. Requires iOS 17 or later.
