Awful

Downloaded the app after just usually using the website and they automatically locked my account asked to provide personal information within 48 hours which I did and it’s been locked ever since with just a constant ai generated response from the help section saying someone will email me soon and to wait absolutely ridiculous I’ve had my account since 2019 with no issues until now

Having to take legal action against them

I used ClearPay for a transaction that the merchant refunded. After a fight to get ClearPay to recognise the refund, they finally ceded and asked me to confirm my bank details so they could action the refund - they then used this data to take further payment instead, and then stopped replying to my customer support messages. I am reporting them to the Financial Conduct Authority and Information Controller’s Office for misuse of data, obtaining money by deceit, and theft.
