Dropbox error
The Dropbox connection doesn’t work and there’s no other way to get your files out of your phone. This app is a waste of time and labour
Dropbox sharing not working
Get a message “the old version of the Dropbox platform is retired” seems like the app developer needed to use a newer API to the Dropbox one that exists for over a year or two. No other way to backup or send long recordings.... unbelievable...

Awful
If the file is large you can’t email it. It drains your phones battery when you try to listen to the recording. It doesn’t maintain its spot, it constantly goes back to the start. Very frustrating
Horrible
If your file is too large, it won’t let you email; except it does not tell you this until after the file has been recorded. Additionally, the WiFi sharing feature? Broken. I even upgraded to the paid version to try and split my recordings, but there’s no way to transfer your recordings to the new version. I’m very frustrated as I have lengthy interviews to transcribe for school and no way to transfer them to my computer because of the faults of the app.

I use this app everyday now during my vocal practice. It’s easy, accurate and helps me very much assessing my progress. Thank you!
Longer recordings will go through the mail now.
The update, like for others, erased currently saved recordings. After I got over that I realized how much nicer it is I can actually email a whole song to myself or a friend--and it actually goes through! It sends rather quickly as well. I wasn't a fan of drop box or how long it took to download to drop box. The sound has good quality just aS it used to. A friend of mine isn't sure if the quality is due to the app or the phone I am using.

Thanks for the changes made in the most recent update - much more user friendly. Like the larger type when you edit the description of each recording - thanks for listening. The blue color is much better!
Mostly works...
I have had this app for a year now but today I am deleting it for something else. Most of the time it works very well and is exactly what I need. But there's some sort of glitch that if I'm using it to actively record something and I get a phone call in, then it messes up the recording and it won't save what has been recording for that session. I've lost three really really really important recorded conversations due to receiving a phone call while in the middle of recording, And it wouldn't save what had been recorded thus far

Needs update
It stops the recording if you get a phone call. Other than that it would be great. It has the best recording quality for such a small file size. Not the prettiest app, but it's a good app.
This is amazing...
This app works JUST as it says, and it is incredible. It will immediately remove ambient, and white noise from the background WHEN your recording, and not AFTER like other apps do. Well done!
Playback Recording
I was very excited once I downloaded this app. Since the "Voice Memo "App that's already installed on the iOS iPhone, it doesn't have any speed control options.
So, I don't know what the problem is with this app but, for some reason I am unable to hear any sound when I'm playing it back to myself. I press "Done" but there is no sound coming out of my phone and its not on silent.
Is anyone else having the same issues with no sound when you playback your recording ?

10/20 recording deleted by errors
DONT BUY THIS APP IF YOU USED IT FOR THINGS THAT MATTER. Ie: 10 out 20 recorded lecture from college.
I have had this app for about 3 months now. I use it to record my college lecture. I love the playback at 1.5 speed feature, to save time while reviewing my lectures. I love the noise reduction.
The problem is I have been having error after error that will delete my whole lecture. I am in upper division biology classes where every detail matters, so this is a HUGE problem.
The errors i have had are:
A phone call comes in while recording, stops the recording and corrupts the file that i just recorded.
Randomly a file will " not be able to save because of an internal error" and i will loose my whole lecture.
And the last one, 8 lectures have become "unplayable" and i have lost them all.
DONT BUY OR USE THIS APP IF YOU USE IT FOR THINGS THAT MATTER.

perfect for lectures
I'm taking summer classes and web the lectures run 2 hours each class, it becomes real hard to send recordings to others. The wifi feature gives you a web address that you can share to your friends and they can download the while you host the files. Drop box would be much appreciated or even Evernote as a back up.
Another good thing about this recording app is that you can speed up recordings, thank god because the professor is so boring and I can get through the lectures faster.

Great app!
I love this app. I have tried many recorders for lectures and this one had been the best by far. I am planning on purchasing the 99¢ upgrade because the basic has been great and I'd like the extra features. It also runs in the background if you need to do other things while recording AND does not kill battery life like other apps I have tried. I recommend to anyone needing to record lectures for sure!

Top of the list
I've tested and tried out so many recorder apps and this one is top of my list now.
However, I don't see how to cut/trim the files like you can on the standard iphone app. Maybe I'm missing it but this would be a great feature since I use it to record myself playing guitar or piano. Out of a 10 min recording I might just want about 2 minutes where I had a stroke of genius and would be good to Trim the other crap

Good, would be great with updates
I've been using the lite version For sometime now and it has replaced the built-in recording app on my home screen. It's very easy to use and, in contrast with other reviews here, it's easy to retrieve recordings. All you have to do is go into iTunes and click the Apps tab for your device and you'll see ClearRecord there with all your files, which you can just save to your computer quickly. There's also wifi share but that's slower. Record quality is good but I do get skips here and there, not sure if that's just my device or not..
Features I'd like to see are:
Multitasking- you can't run it in the background like the stock Apple recorder.
Microphone sensitivity adjustment for louder situations
Looking forward to the next update and hoping it is good enough to upgrade from the lite version!

good app for voice over users
I'm glad to discover that this app works very well with Voice Over. The only improvement needed where VO is concerned is that the description of the record button is separate from the button itself. It would also be nice if it could continue recording in the background.
