Egg glitches

So I’ve collected an egg and it won’t hatch it’ll keep adding up the amount the stairs but the moment I start climbing it goes to 0 and never hatches. The game itself is pretty boring not gonna lie because there’s not much to do besides continuously climb stairs. I get it that’s the game but there should be something more you can do.

good game but i’m confused what the money is for. i could just be really early in the game as i just started playing it not even an hour ago and there could be a use for the money once you get to the city but i’m genuinely confused what it’s for right now
