About
Clinical trials, explained — with the sources attached.
Clinical Trial Radar helps patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals explore clinical trials and understand them well enough to ask the right questions. Search more than 525,000 studies registered on ClinicalTrials.gov, read them in plain language, and bring what you learn to your care team.
FIND STUDIES
• Search by condition, treatment, location, or study ID (NCT number) — or ask a question in your own words
• Filter by recruiting status, phase, and age group, and find study sites near your current location
• Choose Express mode for a quick search or Advanced mode for detailed filters, charts, and maps
• Study data is refreshed daily and covers more than 220 countries and all 50 U.S. states
UNDERSTAND THEM
• Ask Trial Radar AI to explain a study, a medical term, or eligibility criteria in plain language
• Answers cite their sources — the study record, PubMed literature, and FDA drug information — so you can check them yourself
• Compare up to five saved studies side by side
• Search, read, and ask questions in 13 languages
PREPARE FOR YOUR CARE TEAM
• The Participation Assistant walks you through a study's eligibility criteria and helps you prepare questions for the study team
• Print a clean summary of a study or its eligibility information for your appointment
• Share a study or an AI conversation with family or your doctor through a link you control; shared links expire after 30 days unless you renew them
KEEP TRACK
• Save studies, searches, and AI answers, and pick up where you left off
• Create e-mail alerts for status, location, and other changes to the studies you follow
• Your saved-studies list stays available when you are offline
• Open Trial Radar study and shared-conversation links directly in the app
PRIVACY BY DESIGN
• No account and no ads
• Your AI conversation history is saved on your device and is not published unless you choose to share it
• The Participation Assistant starts only after you give explicit consent. Health information you enter there is processed by Google's Gemini AI to run the conversation and is never saved to Trial Radar's database. You can end the conversation at any time, which asks Google to delete it.
FREE TO USE
Trial Radar is free. A daily limit on AI requests keeps it that way.
IMPORTANT
Trial Radar is an information and education tool. It does not provide medical advice, diagnose conditions, determine whether you qualify for a study, or enroll you in one — only the study team can confirm eligibility. AI responses can be inaccurate or incomplete. Always check the original study record and talk with a qualified healthcare professional before making any medical or trial-participation decision.
Clinical Trial Radar is an independent service and is not affiliated with or endorsed by ClinicalTrials.gov, the U.S. National Library of Medicine, the National Institutes of Health, or the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. An internet connection is required for search and AI features.
