Best Purchase Ever
Before I downloaded Cloaked, I was getting between 10 and 20 spam calls every single day. They were always about “pre approved” personal loans for up to $50,000. The calls came from different numbers, and I was getting text messages too. I kept following the prompts to be removed from their lists, but nothing changed. It was exhausting.
Like a lot of people, I started silencing unknown callers just to get some peace. But that wasn’t a real solution. I use my phone for work, and I often need to answer calls from numbers that aren’t already saved in my contacts. I didn’t want to avoid unknown calls. I wanted the spam calls to stop.
The day I downloaded Cloaked, the spam calls stopped. Literally that day.
Since then, I’ve also been getting emails letting me know my information has been removed from various marketing systems. My spam emails have dropped dramatically too. The peace of mind alone is worth the subscription.
The price is another huge win. I pay around $9.99 a month, and it includes a VPN. I was already paying about $15 a month for a separate VPN, so getting both privacy protection and a VPN in one app actually saves me money.
I had been using AT&T Call Protect before this and was paying for that too, but it honestly didn’t come close to the results I’ve seen with Cloaked.
If you’re on the fence, stop thinking about it and download it. It’s one of the best subscriptions I’ve ever paid for, and I wish I had found it sooner.

Thought it was amazing UNTIL…
I used the google search feature on this app to remove my personal information etc…. I immediately got concerned because multiple queries about dogs showed up and Cloaked said “Exposed: 5 results containing your personal information “ and they listed my name and number… I assumed maybe someone was running a scam to sell dogs or something, so I googled the same titles from the Reddit, aol and other results- when I clicked on every single one of them they had ZERO to do with me… not even my first name!! Then I ran the same feature within 15 min of the other and this time it came up with 10 results: all pertaining to either a LGBTQ cruise, a post that said Big gay cruise, or Disney- no dogs in this search result. Once again. ZERO to do with me!
So, now how can I trust all of the other features I was impressed with and assumed they were working? Now I seriously doubt that those other features really even work. There’s a good chance this whole app is a scam! It is probably not removing anything or protecting your information because it can’t even pull up a simple google search result!! And in all actuality, how do we even know it’s not stealing information? I find it weird they ask for your social security number- it’s not mandatory for signing up or scanning, but that’s just weird… why would I provide some app with everything including my social security number so the possibility of an employee or creators use my info for data mining, more spam or stealing?!

Deleted important info
It deletes way more from sites than you want. But I still got spam calls and emails! So not worth it!
Dark web and racism
I use this, and was utterly appalled to see an ad on FB that was openly racist. It started with a voiceover of someone speaking flawless English with an accent from the India/Pakistan/Bangladesh Subcontinent. It featured a white mustachioed alpha male-looking tool who informed the accented caller that he was now using this product. The clearly AI-generated voice was portrayed as being afraid of this app. As the voice rose higher and higher and the male voice started saying please, this racist responded with a rapidly widening grin. He was taunting the voice that was programmed to express fear. It was performative cruelty. I felt sick.
People who work at data centers are humans. Blame our corporate overlords not the person working in hell for the intrusion. I’m canceling my subscription. Please do the same. There are other, more effective apps, to control security. Don’t support racists.
Furthermore, I know that my SSN is on the dark web. I have lots of identity theft insurance, but I keep trying things to fix the problem. This app is another failed experiment. Plus, I’m still getting lots of spam calls.

Won't renew at expiration
A lot of my missed calls for when I don't have service which is common because of my work. People call me and leave voicemails so I do see those notifications from the app but when I click on them they disappear and they don't even appear on my iphone dialer. I'm hoping the data removal of my personal information from third parties is helping and I like that they provide a virtual number but the call guard feature is very disappointing.
