Closer is a real-world social club. We host small, phone-free gatherings in real homes to help you meet people and form genuine connections. No swiping. No algorithms. Just thoughtfully hosted evenings where you put your phone away and actually talk to someone new. HOW IT WORKS • Browse upcoming gatherings, from intimate dinners to one-of-a-kind experiences, all hosted around a real table. • Book your seat and pay for your ticket in the app. • Show up. Your host welcomes you, seats you with the right group, and guides the gathering. • Leave with new friends, and the chance to stay in touch through the app afterward. SAFETY AND VERIFICATION Closer is a verified community. Before booking, every member completes identity verification powered by Persona, a quick, secure check using a government-issued photo ID and a selfie for a biometric match. This keeps our gatherings safe and makes sure you are meeting real, accountable people. Verification is an annual Trust & Safety check, not a membership. It costs $25 per year, payable before your check begins and non-refundable once verification starts. It renews automatically each year so your verification stays current, and you can cancel anytime from your profile in the app. Closer does not store your government ID images. They are processed by Persona in accordance with its privacy policy. Every gathering is guided by a trained host who makes sure everyone feels welcome and safe. You can report or block any user at any time directly from the app, and we review every report.
