Good start

The entry for foods is really tedious. It’s also easy to forget things, it would be better to select from a list. I’m likely to enter things later and didn’t try the photo feature. Common items like coffee and spices were not listed. Not easy to add frequent foods from one day to the next. Nice looking app but not user friendly enough for me to subscribe.

Response from developer

Thanks for the detailed feedback! We actually just added a Browse feature based on exactly this — you can now tap through categories (veggies, fruits, grains, etc.) and add foods without typing anything. There's also a Favorites section that shows your most-logged foods so you can re-add them in one tap. Would love to hear what you think of the update!

Wow

It’s amazing the awareness that’s created through a simple app. It’s changed my diet in a very positive way.

gut health tracked!

i’ve been loving the clove app! it’s an easy way to track fruits & veggies — logging has become a daily habit that is encouraging me to add diversity to my plate. i’m now actively trying new *good* foods after realizing how little of my diet is actually going to build a healthy microbiome.

like most of my girlfriends, i’ve been experiencing increased discomfort with bloating / leaky gut as i’ve gotten older. the app is not free, but it’s worth it as a forcing function to isolate diet drivers that are affecting my gut health.

my favorite feature is the detailed description of the fruits & veggies + the badge / gamify approach that is helping me build my track record!

Have to pay

Without paying, you are only able to log 3 foods per day.

Response from developer

Thanks for the feedback — that 3-food limit was rough, totally fair. We removed it! You can now log as many foods as you want, completely free. Hope you'll check out the new version.
