I met the man of my dreams on this app. I had tried others and nothing worked for me. I either had to pay a lot or met people I wasn’t interested in. After starting to lose hope I downloaded this app I hadn’t heard of before. I matched with a my current boyfriend who I plan on marrying soon. I am very happy that this app exists. The format, options, and interface were all great and I would definitely use this app again!

I streamed on this app for 2 weeks and earned my first cash out. This was exciting for me so I requested to cash out my gems. My account was fine all day and night. The next morning I go to log in to check my inbox and my account was permanently deleted. It said I had violated terms of use. Now Here’s where it gets ugly. I was unsure how I violated since I hadn’t streamed in between my cash out and deactivation. I have sent several emails asking for an explanation as to why I was banned permanently and I get this auto response saying they’ll reply within 2days. Well it’s been well over a week and I still haven’t gotten a response. So I’ve concluded clover is a thief of an app. They deactivated my account stole my cash out and the gems sent to me by my fans.

Full trial results in nothing
This app is a scam, you’d think it’s run by matchgroupllc inc. who owns meetme, tinder, match, hinge, and more, because it’s an outright love/friend interest scam. They have no incentive to get rid of fake profiles that they honestly probably create through third parties, so those users get counted in our amount of time spent during the trial liking people, asking them on dates, etc. I have reached out to a thousand people. That’s 1,000, and not one person was either active or real and I also only got two views. However, as soon as my free trial was up, why, what’s this? The profiles to chose from all the sudden became more real looking, I started getting views too, but oh I’m not allowed to message or see who it was because in order to do that I must pay money. It’s a scam app okay.

This app is the worst
In short, most users of this app aren’t even on here to date. They do this little high school-esque meet and greet in the groups section, upload nudes then report eachother in the group section (was morbidly humorous to watch that kinda bickering until it got too creepy), and much more (like stalking or engaging in unethical sex work through the app’s matching system!).
Also, you can get reported, at any point, for anything, with no rule set or appeals process. I got banned because someone I had to file a restraining order against reported me, I assume sometime after I had called the police and uninstalled the app.
Did I mention how rude, emotionally manipulative, and aggressive/bigoted people on here are?

Rude, Slow Customer Service
I have deleted and downloaded this app many times, but it will not open and just gives me a blank screen that says “Tap to Reload.” I sent Clover screenshots, screen recordings, my iPhone update version, etc and they repeatedly asked me questions I had already answered in the emails. They finally told me that they don’t allow their product to run on jailbroken devices. Cool story, except MY DEVICE IS NOT JAILBROKEN. I bought it from the Apple Store brand new in box. My phone is “unlocked” because I got it from the Apple store and not Verizon, but my phone is NOT “jailbroken.” Just say you have a bug in your product and don’t accuse me of jail breaking a phone. Ugh. Never again.

Would Not recommend this app to anyone! Got charged 20$ Even though it showed that apparently you get a 7 day Free trial, But obviously Not the case. Cause I got charged anyway! And the Fact that Nobody really even reply back, which because oF that you don’t even know who’s real and who isn’t because they don’t oFFer a verified thing to see who’s real and who isn’t. However I do Like the Fact that you can Message people as Many times as you want and you don’t have to pay to Message people unlike other dating apps! Be careful of the free trials
Not uncommon to less popular dating apps, many many people are fake or soliciting themselves. I live in Colorado and I struggles to find anyone active on the app other than mentioned above. Lastly signed up for the free trial, immediately charged $119. Apple will refund this if it happens to you but still rather annoying they would just grab your money. I waited to see if this was just a hold on funds but it was a legitimate charge. Not a huge issue to solve on my end but if I was younger that may have been a disaster if my bank account was overdrawn from something like this. That would be money I would not have received back. Lastly I really see nothing worth paying for directed towards the app.

Just like every other dating site and all I’ve tried, this is trash. You can’t do anything for free except favoriting profiles which does nothing. Used to have free messaging and such but they took that away (presumably when they started forcing membership up front after profile creation, as far as what I’ve gathering from other reviews.)

Could be the best dating app ever!
I say this could be the best because it has one MAJOR flaw: most of its users have been inactive for a very long time. You see profiles that say, “hi, I’m 21 in college...” when their actual age is like 27. The reason is probably because nobody is willing to pay the exorbitant price for premium membership, which this app is basically useless without. Don’t waste your money on premium because nobody uses this app anymore, except for con artists and escorts that want you to pay for sex.

Great app for catfishers and scammers
Been on the app for about a month with the premium and every day I get no less than 5 “favs” either from obvious catfishers who disappear after I ask them to confirm their identity with a thumbs up selfie, girls trying to sell me their premium Snapchat for nudes, or people trying to get me to send them money for stuff. Chatted briefly with a couple real people over the month but it’s just so full of fake accounts I can’t stand it anymore.
The app is easy to use and good in concept which is why I didn’t give it 1 star but just trying to sift through the real and fake accounts is a nightmare.

NOT FREE!!!
Not really sure why this is listed as a free app when it’s not. It asked for a credit card before I could even see the people in my area. I’m not above paying for premium memberships. But would be nice if you could at least look around the app before asking for you to pay them! Also when setting up profile it ask if you want them to live in an apartment or house? How does that factor into dating someone??? Idk maybe it’s just me but just because someone doesn’t own a house doesn’t mean they aren’t doing life right?!

This app is misleading.
The minute you open the app it first offers a subscription. I normally don’t stay on dating apps for long because I don’t get much response from people, so I skipped. Then people started messaging me like crazy without even “favoriting” me, which is this apps version of “swiping right” like in Tinder. It didn’t make any sense how I got them all at once, and they were all cheesy pickup lines. Then, I text people back and proceeded to not get a response from anyone. Then a guy messaged me later on saying he never sent the first pickup line and that he wasn't interested. I have a feeling the app just messages people for you in hopes that someone will come through. So not only do you get a bunch of messages from people that weren’t actually sent by them, there’s a good chance it’s happening to others from your account too. Just fair warning. Other than that the app works okay.

Account deactivated unfairly
I have been using this app for a few weeks and suddenly this morning while in the middle of using it all my messages disappeared and I tried to refresh then I get a message saying I violated their terms which is bogus because as a single mom I can guarantee I didn’t do anything to violate their terms!! So maybe they shouldn’t just take some angry man’s word and deactivate a person’s account and actually look into it. I didn’t Post inappropriate pics, or say anything inappropriate either or solicit anything or anyone so I want to know why my account was deactivated!! Also the fact that I have been on here with no issues since Thanksgiving should be a clue that maybe it was a man that was angry and they really should have checked my pics and messages before deactivating my account!!

Honestly disappointed
So aside from the fact that you can’t do anything without premium, which is ridiculous, the app started randomly sending icebreakers to people I had actually declined to match. Multiple times in fact. Didn’t tell me about it, I just all of a sudden get messages from people I wasn’t interested in and had declined. Not only did I have to tell them I didn’t send the message, I had to tell them I wasn’t interested, which is literally half the reason that I and pretty much anyone else uses these apps, to avoid having to reject someone you’re not interested in. It’s more than a little messed up, and on top of that it took no consideration for any preferences I had set in the app. Each one was marked by boost feature. Maybe just take that particular feature out completely since it doesn’t provide benefit to anyone.

This app is a joke and doesn’t feel safe
I had to delete it literally a couple of hours after creating my account, as I was bombarded with messages with inappropriate sexual content from trashy guys who have pictures of their naked torsos and eggplant emojis in their profiles. And no, I am not one of those “Instagram babes” who show off a bunch of duck face selfies and half naked pictures. All of my photos were fully clothed and I said it clearly in my profile that I was looking for a long term relationship. Yet was favorited and messaged by a bunch of weirdos telling me about their sexual fetishes and looking for hookups. One guy who messaged me openly said he was 16! His profile said 21 though. I am sure there are a bunch of perverts, rapists and serial killers on there, as they don’t seem to do any check or profile moderation just letting anyone register and write whatever they want.

The app used to be good, but now I can’t tell when I’ve matched with someone or not. I get notifications that I have but there’s no where to go to see my matches

Didn’t realize I already had review. But tried the free trial, a lot of either fake profiles or ones not in use (free trial probably ended and they couldn’t use any features any more so deleted app). The app also has some obvious fake profile look at your profile when you first start out, then after they view your profile they block you. It’s also weird it asks for income in the profile creation. It does nice job in ethnicity section with actually having regions instead of colors , but American doesn’t appear on list and they use just white on there which can apply to many regions. Also it doesn’t have the hottest girls on the app like it claims. I’d say save your money and just meet someone in real life

Can’t do anything without paying
It’s not a swipe system like the other functional dating apps, you have to either get premium or just browse through irrelevant stuff that you can’t interact with. I put this at five stars so people will see this along with any fake/coerced reviews on here so you can “improve your karma”. There’s no harm in downloading that I can tell, and it does have a free 7 day trial, but really it’s not that generous as that’s the only way you can actually use the app.

Banned For No Reason
So this happened a few months back, and wanted to start a Clover account, as I was finishing my account, it outright said that “ I have violated the terms of service” without giving me any explanation as to why. I was trying to make an account. I was never doing anything else.
I tried to send an email to the people at clover, explaining my issue, and they have not gotten back to me.
I don’t understand why this happens to me. I’m very disappointed in the fact the you people don’t know how to fix simple issues like this. I’ve been single my entire life and you didn’t help me when I needed it the most. I’ve spent time on a few dating apps and decided to try Clover’s trial for their premium service (no messaging without it). Although I did get to message people and talked to a few at a slightly higher clip than other apps, it’s disappointing to know you have to pay just to communicate. Once you try premium you can refine your filters with categories like height, body time, ethnicity, drug and alcohol habits, etc. The filtering is great. However, once I set my filters I quickly got to the end of the results. I have since broadened my criteria and again, I’ve hit a wall. So in two days of having the trial that lets me set filters and message people, I have run out of results.
The silver lining here is you may be able to check out the app in its entirely within the trial period and won’t have to worry about missing potential matches, because you will see the end of the line! Perhaps if you’re in a big city like LA or NY you will have better luck.
Overall I am disappointed. I know Clover can’t control how many users they have but they can control what constitutes a premium service and I think they missed the mark here.

Scammers everywhere
They pose as Chinese girls and tell you about how their English is bad. Depending on your state you may get very little likes, so when one likes you, you’re bound to take a look. They tend to have one picture and it’s only partially pixelated but it can’t be found anywhere on the internet with a reverse lookup tool. They talk to you a bit and then boom! They ask you to download leyile app. The app that costs like 300 dollars for a subscription. It has an active translator function they tell you will help them talk to you easier because they really wanna get to know you and date. I don’t trust it one bit and you shouldn’t either. Happened to me twice in a week. And it’s so annoying. It’s so repetitive you can almost predict what they will say to you. But hey if you got bank go for it and see what happens. Then reply to this to tell me if you somehow got scammed💀
