About

If you care about bodybuilding, powerlifting, or just getting stronger and healthier, you've probably noticed the shift: it's harder than ever to know who is actually good. There are more coaches than ever, and that isn't slowing down. More options means more unqualified coaches and more scandals in the mix, plus the usual noise: copy-and-pasted programs, polished marketing, testimonials and transformations you can't verify, and AI-generated plans and instant "coaching" with no real accountability. Choosing who to trust has never been harder. I've seen people spend serious money on generic programs with their name copy-pasted at the top, and others trust big claims only to end up disappointed or worse. At the same time, genuinely good coaches get overlooked because they're not playing the hype game. And when dangerous practices or scandals did surface, too many coaches could keep thriving anyway because the community didn't have a loud enough voice and there was no real infrastructure to hold anyone accountable. When you hire a coach, you're trusting someone with your body, your health, and your time. Whether you're stepping on stage, onto a platform, or just trying to get stronger, that decision shouldn't feel like a gamble. I built CoachCritic because I was tired of watching that happen: not as another marketing funnel or false promise, but as a place where athletes can find the right match, see real feedback and transparency, and where coaches can run their practice and manage clients all in one place, with real reputations and accountability in a space that badly needs it. Bodybuilding, powerlifting, and general fitness are different goals but share the same need for trust. If we care about these sports, we should protect the standards behind them, and that's why CoachCritic exists.
