Lovely behind Guitar
This app makes really lovely, evolving drones that live very well behind solo lines and riffs. The modulation options make it really special for me: I can set it up so it only opens up for input at the beginning of a measure; so I can hit a chord, then noodle around with solos and licks over the top of it. Or I can just leave the input open at a particular threshold and let the app take in the louder bits while I’m playing and so they jangle together in new and interesting ways. And then set up an envelope to swell into the sound as the input goes quiet. And on and on.
I also just love this dev’s background designs - they offer a really beautiful representation of what the app is doing to your sound. I’ll be playing around with this one for a long time.
