The app updates often. I’ve only done the basic (free) version so far but I’m considering the paid upgraded version. Very impressed with the basic app so far.
This is THE most worthwhile cocktail app!
This is probably the best cocktail app out there, and I’ve tried quite a few. When planning a party, I wanted to do a couple large volume cocktails for guests to self serve from. The batch mix feature took all the math (since my math never maths right, because I live in a non-metric society), and figures everything out based on how much you want to make. If you’re new to cocktails or have it pretty well figured out and just need a quick reference or some new ideas, GET THIS APP!

Awesome
This app is light-years beyond anything I’ve tried so far. I can’t believe how Steve thought of everything we’ve always wanted and packaged it all into one app!
The Drink Roulette feature is fantastic because my wife never knows what she wants to drink, so it makes my life as the at-home bartender much easier.
The ability to comment, rate drinks, create lists, add filters, and customize your experience means everything you could want is already there. Best of all, Steve genuinely listens to his viewers and incorporates their feedback. It’s obvious from how thoughtfully this app was designed and put together!

By Far Number One App for Cocktails
I have tried several other apps for cocktails. Finding none sufficient in scope or efficient in use, I had made a Numbers File to store cocktials I had tried with links or references to the source.
This app is a godsend. The data base is great and provides easy relationships to relevant elements. Your bar ingredients, cocktails you have tried from app’s data base, an ability to add your own recipes, suggestions for new to try base on your bar, cocktails you could make with an addition to your bar ingredients. This plus beautiful photos and frequent links to videos of Steve preparing the cocktail.
I had watched his You Tube vides in the past and liked his manner, technique and personality only put off my his pushing his gins and spirits made in Australia and unavailable to me.
I URGE you to try the is app. I have NEVER written a review this long or laudatory. In fact I rarely ever write a review. This app is on iOS, and Mac OS. I have it on my iPhone and iPad, they link and provide an easy way to use your phone in the kitchen to try a new recipe.

Great Bar App
I’ve tried a few bar apps,this is by far the best.
Great app!
There's a lot to like here. The recipes and photos along with quotes and the books they come from are great. The advanced filtering options are also welcome.

Thanks for alerting me to this! Most people use search or apply filters which shortens the list prior to scrolling so it’s gone unnoticed/unreported until now. The issue has been fixed, it requires updating to 1.6.5. Cheers!
Promising but not performant
There's a lot to like here. The recipes and photos along with quotes and the books they come from are great. The advanced filtering options are also welcome.
However, the app has problems scrolling through the large list of cocktails available. My device (iPhone 16 Pro) heats up and scrolling performance gets worse and worse the further I scroll through the cocktail list. I think some performance tuning is needed here. Otherwise great app

Best of the cocktail apps
This is my go to app now. I just need to see if there is a good way to export my recipes from AnyList to Cocktails by Steve
I love that you inventory what you have and it shows you the options you can make. Just what I was looking for.
Now I just wish the InApp purchasing better. I just want a quick way to get to selecting the options and seeing how they differ. Though I just want to pay $18 for everything to support Steve. Love his book that I bought.

A Great Cocktail Resource
This app is so useful! You can enter all the ingredients you have, you can filter by so many categories, and the recipes are terrific! 5 stars!

A Gamechanger
As someone who has jotted down recipes in notebooks and collected various books on the matter, it’s wonderful to have such a resource in the palm of my hand. There’s a large handful of drinks for every spirit or liqueur you can think of, and each one is presented with a helpful write-up and professional-grade photography. Highly recommended for casual drinkers as well as die-hards.

Excellent App
This is a good app for cocktails. The main thing that makes this stand out; links to instructional videos. A vast collection that is being constantly updated. So nice to input your personal bar and immediately have access to many suggested cocktails. A+
Fantastic
Much easier than a book, links to videos showing how to make the cocktails and a huge variety to easily search. With the My Bar section I can now experiment with what I have on hand.

Can’t tell you how fired up I am with this app! Been watching, exploring, poring over Steve’s YouTube channel…wishing I had a way to easily access (and remember) everything I was gleaning from the channel.

If you are a budding mixologist or someone who likes creating something new . Steve’s app, like his YouTube channel is a fantastic resource. Create your own bar with what you have on hand, then expand on it to open up a world of possibilities, drinks that you have never heard of that tantalise the taste of buds. Love it!! The Ideal Home Bartender App
This was exactly what I was looking for! The free tier lets me select what I have in my bar and find new recipes to try. The DLC for adding my own recipes or downloading new ones is not a subscription, which I appreciate. I’ve gone to Steve for cocktail recipes on YouTube for years and it’s great to know he’s the one behind this.

Really impressed
Love this app, especially the “my bar” section. Knowing what I can make with what I have is great.
So far seems like a very good app.
The app looks nice and already has many recipes. I was occasionally having issues saving recipes but seems like recent update has fixed that. Definitely think I’ll be using this app more and more over time.
