Excellent camera but recent user interface issue
I’ve been using this camera for a long time and haven’t found anything that is better. A simple, easy to use user interface allowing manual control without being fiddly and confusing.
A recent issue arose. The user interface has ‘crashed’ leaving the tools/options all pushed over to one side with some being hidden or top of each other. Even the button to actually take the photo. Same issues whether portrait or landscape position.
Resets, reinstalls, etc have no effect and such a top app really needs a fix for this.

Underrated App
Great app, highly recommend! only real complaints are that the audio is recorded for longer than the video which can sometimes cause A/V to be out of sync. The cinema picture style also seems to make the screen preview run behind.

You can switch cameras using the button next to the shutter button (T/UW/W) if your device has multiple cameras. If it doesn't, then all the app would be able to do is digitally zoom, which is equivalent to cropping into the image in post production. Because of this, i decided not to implement digital zooming, it only removes part of the image, and it can be done easily after the fact in the photos app or any photo editor.
This is a such a great app cam.
This will make your iphone takes amazing video and picture in 1080p nothing like your regular camera. Download and guarantee you will not use you regular camera
Amazing app but I have some questions
This app is great, first third-party app I can’t see distortion in quality, and the stabiliser actually works! and for free?? WOW. Question: is there a way to switch to the selfie camera, and is there gonna be an option to use a shutter speed of 48 for 24 FPS, cause I can only set it to 25fps with a shutter speed of 50 . Also is there gonna be an option to record in flat colour mode? Thank you, and keep up the great work. Also also honestly if the stuff I was asking about would be an extra to pay for I would pay for it!

Thanks! The next update (v3.5), which is currently under review, will add support for 1/48 shutter speed and the selfie camera too!
Amazing
This is one of the only camera apps that lets you record mjpeg videos. I wish it would support 10/10 quality for mjpeg in 4K30 mode, please add this for a future update or make it into a pro version. I would gladly pay money for this. Also is 4K60 mode for mjpeg just too intensive to run or is it coming at a later time? I have an iPhone XS Max. Thanks for the awesome app!

Thank you! The next update (v3.5), which is currently under review, will add support for full quality MJPEG videos. The 4K60 MJPEG is not supported by the API, Apple doesn't allow that for some reason. I assume it would be too much for the image processor to handle.
Instructions? Flash?
Did I miss something? I liked this app very much, but I couldn’t figure out how to use the flash. I couldn’t find any instructions for this app. I searched online also. Unfortunately, I had to delete... but I would use if I could figure out how.

Hi! You're right, i have never added support for the flash in photo mode (simply because i would never use it), but i will see if i can add it in a future release.
Could be a great app but bugs and no help
In both photo mode and video mode press the take/record button and a red center appears and it won’t take. No help or explanation.
No zoom for still photos???
I can't find a way to zoom when taking photos. Pinching doesn't work. Swiping left/right doesn't do it, and I can't find a slider for that.
I otherwise like this camera app, so I hope the developer will add zooming for the still photos, abd a Help button to explain how to use the app. I like the simplicity of the interface and the efficiency for the user to quickly change settings.

Best pro video app available
This is my go-to app for professional video on my iPhone. It delivers a high bitrate image with a flat color profile, and all settings are easily accessible. It feels the most like a professional camera with manual hardware controls. It is quicker to adjust settings than Filmic Pro, which is my #2 pick, but the main offering that Codecam has over Filmic (and the other 20 or so apps I have used to film) is that it is extremely stable. Filmic Pro crashes a lot and often fails to save the footage.
