We are wondering if this person was a little confused while writing this review, or obviously didn't know the differences between the two Vargo Apps. The person stated, "Get the Mega App over this firstly, this is supplemental." The (17 apps in 1 app) Vargo Anesthesia Mega App has an extensive app, "Case Tips" for surgical procedures...step by step. The "Ivor Lewis Esophagectomy" is a type of transthoracic esophagectomy. Please refer to "Esophagectomy-Transthoracic" in the Vargo Anesthesia Mega App. This review is for the Vargo Coexisting Diseases & Surgery App. This comprehensive app aids the anesthesia provider in anticipating and individualizing their anesthesia management with the patient's coexisting diseases or comorbidities. Preoperative patients with Sickle Cell Disease, Angioedema, Congenital Heart Defects, Cystic Fibrosis, Pulmonary HTN, and Multiple Sclerosis are just a few examples in this app. The pathology is very detailed in this app...approximately the size of a 5,000+ page text book. We welcome and encourage this person to reach out to us for further information.
Another Great Anesthesia Resource
Every anesthesia resident and practicing anesthesia provider would benefit from having this app. It contains a wealth of information, is an extensive reference textbook of pathologies with pertinent information related to anesthesia.
ANOTHER MUST-HAVE FOR SRNAs!
Just like the Vargo anesthesia app, the user interface is clean, neat, and organized. It has a search feature that is quick to display results, and it has tabs that allow for ease of finding what you want. All information included also has APA- cited references at the bottom, too, just like the Vargo app. Outstanding.
This app is also frequently updated with new information or other features to make a continuously better experience for you. Plus, no additional monthly subscription fee and no data tracking.
Overall, it is an amazing app on your phone. It’s something you will use in school and as a CRNA, so 100% worth it. I would highly suggest this app for all SRNAs!

It has so much material on diseases alone.
The material added about surgical concerns and anesthesia plans does not pertain to me.
However, most of the material is on detailed pathophysiology and medications for diseases- which I like.
Easy to understand user friendly.
The best part is it’s only a one time purchase !!!!
