CoffeePantry keeps every bag of specialty beans on a freshness timeline — from roast day through resting, peak flavor, and the slow fade — so each brew lands in the window where it tastes best. YOUR BAR, AT A GLANCE The On Bar tab is a stream of freshness cards, one per bean. Each card carries a three-segment freshness bar — Resting, Peak, Fading — with a tick marking today, so you always know which bag to reach for first. Tap Brew to log a cup and deduct the dose in grams; a Low badge appears when a bag is running out. A CELLAR FOR YOUR STASH The Cellar tab is where backup bags live: an Ambient Shelf for room-temperature stock and a Freezer wall of single-dose slots. Freeze portions ahead, thaw one at a time, and the count always matches reality. Frozen beans stay quiet — no reminders until they're back on the bar. BREWS, COUNTED The Brews tab is your pour log. Every check-in records the bean and the grams, and a weekly capsule sums up cups and grams brewed — the pace of your habit at a glance. DATES YOU CAN TRUST Printed roast dates are used exactly as printed. Resting adjusts to your brew method and roast level, and the peak window runs 21 days for espresso, 28 for filter — all typical-value estimates, always marked with an "est." badge. Estimates and printed facts never mix, and you can correct any date in one tap. No roast date on the bag? The bean shows an "Unknown" state and CoffeePantry walks you through filling it in. SAY IT OR SNAP IT A new bag is one sheet away on the On Bar and Cellar tabs: voice entry (free and unlimited), a photo of the bag read by on-device OCR, or manual entry. Whichever path you pick, it ends in one editable draft — nothing is saved until you say so. On Apple Intelligence-capable devices, on-device AI understands roasters, origins, weights and absolute dates in your language and turns bag photos into name and roaster suggestions; recognition happens locally and no text is kept without your tap. Devices without Apple Intelligence run the same intake through a fast rule-based parser instead. REMINDED AT THE RIGHT MOMENT Two local notifications per bean, nothing more: the first peak day and the day fading begins, both at 9:00.
