Cognate: Vocabulary Builder

Most vocabulary apps ask you to trust a streak. Cognate asks a harder question and then answers it: how many words do you actually know? Sixteen yes-or-no questions place you on a frequency list. From that day on the app keeps one number, the words you retain: the words it expects you to remember right now, with at least 90% probability, calculated from your own review history. Nothing else is dressed up as progress. MEASURED, NOT PROMISED The number starts at zero on your first day and it can go down. A word counts only after it has come back days later and stuck.
