I downloaded this popular app and in set up it asked for my seed/recovery phrase. I think this is a fake copy of this app. You never give out that info if you do you basically just gave away your crypto wallet.

When I went to set up my account it asked for my seed phrases to my crypto wallets. Everyone in crypto knows that’s a big no no. What’s the deal? Immediate delete!

If you move funds between wallets and exchanges, CoinLedger is simply necessary. I had constant transfers between MetaMask, Ledger, Coinbase, and Bybit. Over 9,000 transactions in total.
Internal transfers were recognized correctly, fees were included, and nothing broke during sync. The app clearly separates taxable and non-taxable events, which is critical at this scale.

BTC and ETH taxes that don’t feel sketchy
I’ve tried a couple of crypto tax tools over the years, and CoinLedger is the one that actually feels reliable. Most of my activity is Bitcoin holds, Ethereum swaps, and moving funds between wallets and exchanges.
This year I synced Coinbase, Binance, MetaMask, and a Ledger wallet. Around 5,900 transactions total. Transfers were handled correctly, fees didn’t get ignored, and nothing looked randomly inflated.
