CMC has been great for years but the recent update takes away an important part of the app in my opinion. Community has always been recent posts about the particular coin you’re looking at and then the overall community posts which are typically bitcoin related or other very popular topics. Now the app rids of coin specific discussions and replaces it with the infamous “algorithm” to give you a feed “for you” which to me is a great way to psyop the general public. Now this app is only good for charts. Still love the charts but I’m disappointed they chose to add noise to an already noisy space. I’ll take it as a bottom signal.

Change the profile look
When you click on a suggested profile it shows the articles or the old posts, idk. Then you have to go directly to the profile and it shows new posts. So annoying and simple to use bug. Please fix it
And i would hide any suggested profiles which haven’t posted for at least 4 weeks. Many profiles are dead and haven’t posted for months. Why do they still getting recommended

Great app, minus music pause
Upon opening app, music is paused by the adverts (?), which play no sound, terrible user experience

Based on the numerous phishing emails I have been receiving, it is easy to trace the source back to CMC. The app isn’t useful enough to expose yourself to phishing and malware. I am glad I only used this particular email only once or I would have never caught it.
Now with unwanted pop-up ads
The latest forced update now has pop-up ads on app start, and ads all over the place.
Nobody wants ads thrown at them, we get enough of those everywhere else.
This also means that all of the marketing companies displaying ads are receiving your cookies and other private data that your device stores. They will sell share and trade that data to anyone who pays for it.
This also means that if you accidentally click on one of these ads, you could be taken to a malicious website that these shady ad companies have now woven into the app.
This could compromise the security of your device, potentially allowing bad actors to run malicious code on your device.
Bad move CoinMarketCap.
Not using your app anymore.
