Nothing what I expected

I didn’t like the app. I have a good camera on my phone and pictures were very blurry, there was no definite answer. Rather go to someone in person.

Coin identified

Only identifies and shows what coin could be worth. Does not grade, yet, if you just need identification, it identified. I really do not need to identify; I would prefer a grading. A few scans misidentified but my thought is if not a clear enough pic, could do this. Identified my Madison dollar coin as a George Washington dollar.

Don’t get this app

I found this app to be lacking in professionalism and overall usability. The daily limit of only 15 coin scans is extremely restrictive, especially for anyone trying to value a collection properly. In addition, the constant pop‑up ads promoting more expensive valuation apps make the experience feel intrusive and frustrating.

Unfortunately, the app does not offer the value or functionality it promises, and I do not believe it is worth customers’ time. I am very disappointed and will be requesting a refund.

useless

app can only scan barcodes, not coins — after 15 seconds, app switches to a Google ad

Average

Tells me what I already know , what the coin is and then a generic description the same as Google lens . Doesn’t pick up errors I’ve tried double stamped coins I’ve tried many things and doesn’t pick it up just tells me eg 1999 $2 coin with Queen Elizabeth 11 on it these are face value but if it had errors could be worth more , so ok I have eyes I can see that already lol

Lohnt nicht

In der free Version Werbung ohne Ende. Nach zwei Scanns eine Werbung, wirklich Nervtötend. Von 10 Münzen 3 falsch erkannt. Hab’s gleich wieder deinstalliert

Ads every few seconds

I could barely use the app because a stupid ad with music (that cannot be backed out of) starts playing every few seconds. I’d have to restart the app to use it only to be hit with another add. It worth the time downloading it.

Terrible this deserves 0 stars

I was snapping some photos of a 1993-S quarter just to see value, but when it popped up similar coins it was showing penny’s ranging from 1952-1978. I decided to try some others and it was very inaccurate I recommend coin facts for a free accurate and easy to use identifier that shows accurate price ranges. I am disappointed.

I don’t know

The app is ok but when I take a picture for example a 1990 US penny, it shows everything but a value for the 1990 US penny I wanted to know the value. Btw I know the 1990 US penny is basically worth $0.10 maximum but I just used it for a test.

Valuations are in dollars!

The app works well identifying coins but all the valuations are in dollars, I want UK currency - £s.

No works

Never worked accurately

useless

it couldn't even recognize multiple 1940’s mercury head dimes. this app is useless

Misidentified coins

I downloaded the app. I tested 4 different coins. It identified the type of coin but all had the wrong date and mint mark. I deleted it.

Installation

I downloaded coinoscope and it was charging $34.99. I was under the impression this was a FREE app what do i do ?Thanks

It was good

It was okay, the ads were a little bit annoying and the constant “hey do you want to get pro?!”

Can’t use this app. Bad url

Ads cover the button

The advertisements cover more than half of the camera button and make it very difficult to take pictures of your coins, would recommend using on android instead.

Not the time saver I thought it would be

It does a good job of recognizing the type of coin, but then you have to choose from a list to narrow down the date, etc. then, when you click on the button to determine the value, you’re presented with another long list of possible choices. You can do this quickly with a regular coin book.

Maybe I expected too much. I was thinking that perhaps the technology had progressed enough to where it would detect the date and even the condition of the coin and give you a value based on that. Maybe that’s in the future with the current state of how AI is progressing.

Absolutely crap system absolutely terrible app don’t even bother,
I have scanned 14 coins from Europe, Cuba and America, and every single one of them has come back on this app as being either Chinese, Indian or of an African origin, even though the coins I have scanned obviously come from Cuba, America, France, and the Uk
