About
Coldfront is real-time strategy built for the touch screen. Mine ore, raise a base, field tanks, aircraft and infantry, and take the map — against the AI, your friends, or the ranked ladder.
Two armies, one purchase. EMBER, the free army, is the complete game: every mode, every map, every mission. FROST, a second full army with its own units, structures and economy, is a single one-time purchase. The two want different things: FROST moves with the ore, EMBER digs in and outlasts it.
Real-time multiplayer, 1v1 to 8 players. Everyone plays the exact same battle, move for move — what you see is what they see. Host a room and hand out its code or an invite link, or let QUICK MATCH find you an opponent. Signed in to Game Center, rated matches feed a public ladder; not signed in, everything still works unrated.
A campaign that teaches. The missions take you from your first harvester to full-scale assaults, and they are free — all of them.
A map editor that feeds the game. Draw your own battlefield — terrain, ore, starting positions, control points — then host on it: everyone who joins your room plays your map. Ten built-in maps ship with the game, each one a different place.
Skirmish on your terms. Fight the AI at difficulties up to HARD, alone or with friends against it. Campaign and skirmish work offline.
Every match kept. A replay of every match you start is recorded automatically — study a loss, or watch an army you don't own yet.
Nothing else in the way. No ads, no tracking, no third-party anything, no account of ours, no timers. One in-app purchase exists — FROST — and this page has already told you everything about it.

What's New in Coldfront
1.0.1
September 4, 2026
The launch screen is sharp on every launch, not just the first one after installing. Snow, ice and water read as themselves rather than as one blue-grey field, and the battlefield now keeps its history: scorch marks, craters and wrecks stay where the fight happened, tinted to the ground they sit on. Steam and exhaust look like vapour instead of a flat ring. The SCROLL FOR MORE hint on the skirmish setup screen retires once you have scrolled. Cancelling a building in the sidebar is a small corner badge instead of a large X across the icon, so you can still see what you are cancelling.
