Broken - Does Not Work

When switching to this keyboard in any app except for the AppStore, the Colemak keyboard does not open - there’s a momentary glitch in the keyboard, but it remains as the standard QWERTY layout.

Doesn’t seem to work

How strange, only works when typing this review, and half of the symbols doesn’t show. Also doesn’t suggest next word. ios26 on iPhone 17.

콜맥사용자가 적어서인지 애플은 지원하지 않습니다

헌데 이 앱을 설치해도 QWERTY 자판이 나옵니다

Doesn’t work

Doesnt work across most apps. Try to select it, and it simply reverts immediately back to the original qwerty

Colemak-DHk

Where is Colemak-DHk?

nice

is there any chance to use this on my external keyboard (magic keyboard) there is just the normal colemak in the settings without dh?

The keyboard doesn't show up

While I was initially excited to use this keyboard, this quickly became disappointment due to it not working at all. I add/activate the keyboard through the settings app, actively choose it when typing, and it just doesn't show up at all. My devices keep switching to the default Apple keyboard. I tried removing all other keyboard and leaving the Colemak keyboard as the only available option. And when I try to type something, there's a delay on showing the keyboard, and the default Apple keyboard shows up again. I activate all 5 keyboard options and none of them actually appear for me to type with. It's always the default Apple keyboard. It doesn't work with either my phone or tablet. Same problem on both devices. I tried downloading other 3rd party keyboards to see if my devices were the problem, but Gboard, Swiftkey, Typewise and Esperanta Klavaro all worked perfectly. In fact I could even use the Colemak layout in Gboard keyboard without issue. I don't know what the issue is, but I sincerely hope it's fixed. I really was looking forward to using this since the Colemak layout isn't currently available in my iPhone or iPad (at least it's not an option for English US). Instead I'd have to use bloated app like Gboard or Swiftkey to use a Colemak keyboard.

5 Stars if...

... emoji button
... auto suggestion as iOS keyboards do

Flawed but glad its an option

Could use updating and continued improvments. But im just happy to have the option.

probably great but doesnt have colemak dh iso

if they added it 5*

Popup doesn’t work

Popup (after pressing character) doesn’t work properly. It’s hidden by upper part of current application. iOS 18.6

Pretty solid. It works but could use bugfixes

Would really like to be able to use colmak on my phone, with this but the (og) keyboard is unfortunately broken on safari. The period button appears and becomes larger than the spacebar. The tab keyboard also appears to be set incorrectly. It drops inputs pretty fequently. The no frills colemak version seems to work mostly fine, though predictive text, as well as the hold spacebar to slide back and forward through is only partially functional. (It only works with left and right.) hence my 3/5. It works! Just not the cool variants don’t, and not without some issues.

Lack of settings and characters

Not allowing to modify settings is a killer for this :( I’m constantly fighting the auto-caps and auto-period features, which I have disabled for the default keyboard. Also, not being able to use the second menu of special characters is a massive roadblock. I’m constantly having to switch betweed this and the default while typing.

Love the app

I love the app the keybord is exactly what I wanted but I wish it had AutoCorrect

Great For Colemak Typists

Thank you for contributing this app! Im glad you added Mod DH.

Its not correctly staggered

I like the concept of increasing the size of the ARST row, making it fit the width of the screen, however its not practical, as my muscle memory is taking me to the correct destination, relative to where the position of the key should be on a regular keyboard. Can you please create an option, or just make it standard to have the layout correctly staggered, instead of size efficient. Thankyou!

Feature request

When using the Colemak keyboard, I can’t access the third layer of symbols. I can use the normal ones such as :;()$&@, but I have to switch back to the default keyboard to type symbols such as #%[]{}*+€£. If this could be updated, that would be exremely helpful.

I love the effort

It’s great to see people apply effort to port Colemak onto iPhone.

It’s missing haptic feedback, word suggestions and swipe functionality. But I appreciate the effort regardless.

I use Colemak as physical keyboard on my iPad, so it’s rather awkward to switch between physical colemak and qwerty on the screen.

Love it!

I'm currenly learning Colemak on PC keyboard and having a Colemak layout on phone is useful to me as I can get used to the layout a bit quicker. Though, one thing. If one's goal is to improve their typing speed and comfort on a PC, then learning and switching to Colemak is one of the strongest options, if they are willing to dedicate time to learn the layout. However, on phone, having the most common keys on one row is not always better than having them a little spread away from each others like it's the case of QWERTY, allowing for less jamming with the thumbs. Nevertheless, I personally prefer using Colemak on phone just to get used to the layout quicker. I want to thank you for this app!
Edit: One feature I would like to request is, like on the default iOS keyboard, the possibility to move the cursor across lines of text, not just linearly, across one line.
