BETTER THAN NOTABILITY
Honestly, one of my top rated apps! ❤️When some classmates asked me what would be better than Goodnotes and notability, I showed them Collanote. They bought it—and some iPads. 😂 seriously, I think an infinite canvas would be awesome here. Also, a faster way to change pen colors like in Notability. Those are my only suggestions cause everything else is great 👍👏

Really good app until recent
I really enjoyed this app since using it two years ago. Unfortunately, I can no longer find the flash cards template that I really loved for active recall studying. I’m assuming it’s now a premium feature or it’s been removed entirely. So not sure if I will continue using it. But it is definitely a great free notetaking app that I would recommend to any student.

Some tips!
I love using collanote and have been using it for a while, and I can’t seem to switch to another one, it’s very simple and practical and I am using the premium version which is way better, however I do have some suggestions that would make the app work even better. However when I go to website to send tips, it says it’s not working, so please fix it!
Regarding my suggestions…
1. I think it would be lovely to have even more options for covers on our notebooks which is uploading pictures for our notebooks, since there are some options of nature and colors, I would just preferably want something from my own gallery like a family photo or friends.
2. Tape! I’ve seen this feature on other note apps and think it’s a great way to study and quiz myself
3. Please update the calculator! It doesn’t seem to work for me and only simple equations like addition, not even multiplication!
I would love to see these suggestions in collanote, because it is my favorite app for taking notes and I would love seeing this app grow.

Unusual use - not for notes nor planner
I use CollaNote to write in my digital puzzle books! Makes it easier to enjoy magazines when I can write in them.
Suggestion: Unless I missed it, I’d like to see it lock on a single page at a time. I saw another comment for horizontal scrolling. Count me in for that option. That would be awesome for reading my digital magazines!

Won’t recommend
It gets crushed all the time, can’t function multitask properly, waste of time and money
Review + some things I’d like to see
Developers if you see this please make an option to make note sizes custom or have note size documents also available in landscape (horizontal) alongside the vertical page format. Other than that great app and premium is worth it. Sometimes crashes but not too often. Would also be nice if in the page navigation button— (where you see all the individual pages and can jump to a specific page)— you could scroll to see all the pages. At some point if you have more than like 9 pages, you can’t see the pages below and it’s sorta annoying.

Definetly gonna buy the pro edition! Id rather pay once than have yet another subscription. Very solid notebook app and definetly has enough tools to get things done. Super helpful! Will there be and option to add our own pages soon?
Great But…
I absolutely love using this app for college however, whenever I try to sign in, the app would keep on crashing. Please fix this because I would love to use some of the features that you guys offer.
Pen problem
Been using the app since 2022 but recently the writing pencil has been giving me issues, when I write a letter it doesn’t register the first half of where I write so I’m left with half a letter my h’s turns into an n’s and my a’s turn into u’s I’ve filed a bug report but apart from the initial email back I haven’t heard anything I’m probably going to have to search for a new app if the problem isn’t fixed.

No free trial for premium
I think this app is great however there should be a free trial for premium so we can decide if the premium is worth it.
Translation
its a good app and I paid for the premium version because of the Quick translation mode, but it disappointed me in so many ways.
The first problem is that the translation fades super fast within 6-7 seconds and sometimes it moves out in the middle of me reading it, without me giving the permission. Also, when I choose a paragraph for translation, it doesnt show the full translation and from a point it just says "..." without giving us possibility to read the rest.
The translation, also, is sometimes acting weak and while translating german texts to english, it just rewrite the german word in english without translating it...
I'm not satisfied with these exhausting issues and I kindly ask to fix this problem

great app!! I’ve been using it only for a few days but it’s amazing! Some features I would suggest is “tape” should also be available as a shape what can be extended over a large area instead of just a pen.
The negative side is that it glitches A LOT. I hope that gets fixed

Add This As A Free Feature!!
I like the app it’s pretty good on its own, but the free limitations are not good. You can’t do specific things and it’s just bad that you added a 10 page limitation. I wanted to make a diary with this app but I can’t. At least give us infinite pages like the premium that’s all I’m asking for.

Data not saved
I backed up everything to Icloud when changing my Ipad, and NONE OF MY NOTES were saved, I lost all of my university motes and there is no way to get them back by signing in or anything. I tripled checked that it was backed up and now I have nothing. Unacceptable.

BUT…you have to pay to get premium which I think is a lil silly because every single 365 day planner is premium and it’s not fair and I ain’t spending no money…might aswell just delete it 😑 it a 3 rated app honestly 😮💨 oh well just to the ppl out there who willl download it get premium b/c without it this app is sorta…useless I guess

used to be a great app - disappointing downfall
i’ve been using this app for 4 years. it used to be a great app but now it has severe limitations and repeated ads that pop up in the middle of taking notes. you can only have a max of 10 pages now. it used to be completely unlimited. having a limit for digital paper is insane. it’s also been lagging increasingly over time as well. genuinely so sad cause this used to be my favorite note taking app. i’m glad i graduated before this app went completely downhill - would not recommend for future use
