Waste of Money

Worthless app. Save your money and look elsewhere. Nothing worked according to specifications.

Basic...

It's a basic app just like all the rest....
-only up to 20 pages, no more for an export to pdf.
-crops images, be warned.

Why can't anyone make an app that takes an ipad album and export as a pdf in one click???? I keep spending dollars trying these apps out, hoping they will do what they say they will, and it's not fun and it takes many, many clicks, or it's limited.

Changes Aspect of Photos

Wish I could give this application a good review. I so wanted to like it. But when I created an album using my existing folder on Dropbox, it took the photos, changed their aspects, and squashed them into four pages. This may be user error as I just started using the application. But it is no use if it makes three long skinny images out of three normal sized landscape format photos which is what it did. Totally useless if it does that.

A WOW app

I LOVE Collections. I've tried several that let the user make photo albums AND this is far and away my favorite. In just a few minutes, I was able to document a retreat and send the results to delighted participants. It's easy and flexible, with improvements coming all the time. This is now one of my mainstay go-to apps. Would work for novices and designers alike.

Love the app, bugs are gone

****Update****

bugs are fixed and 'Collections' no works in horizontal format. This is now a great app and I am using it as a primary portfolio. Thank you to the developer for such a great program.

Was going to use as a iPad portfolio. Nice to have pages with multiple images with different layouts. Like clicking a small image and having it go full screen. The 'back' button is unintuitive and clumsy. Would have been nice if you click the image to go back. Text is mandatory but very limited. Still it is a very nice portfolio tool that I would recommend as is..... Except for the bugs! In horizontal format, the pages come out blank, and when rotated to portrait they appear. Most of my work is horizontal, so i simply can't use this. Please fix this and it will be very desirable to designers. For anyone looking for a portrait only picture layout and viewer this is great.

Great app!

Your update just made a great app, superb! Does everything that you advertise it to do. Makes a beautiful presentation of your photo albums. Keep up the good work!

Still very buggy

I waited for the first upgrade to come out before writing a review and did email the developers when I first bused the app to tell them about some serious shortcomings. The new version is better.

While still some issues with landscape view of a collection created in portrait mode the new version, after converting all your collections, it appears to be much better. Still the best photo album app in the store. Developer is responsive to input.

Page turning with a swipe is not recommended instead better to tap on the bottom corner of the page.

Many choices for page layout.

I'm thinking the app will get even better with time and input to the developer.

Just what I needed!

I love this app. My only wish Is if we could adjust the photo if it is to big to focus on the subject. In other words choose the part of the pic we want to display. I love it. Thank you. Jude

Smart app done by no so smart developers

The good : it works like eBook in regards to page turning ( that's it fir the good)
The bad : the photos are behind the frame they do not turn together. So we you turn your iPad from portrait to landscape or the other way around, you will end up with landscape frames on portrait photo other way around ( portrait frame on landscape photo ). so a photo of a face on portrait when turning the iPad to landscape will show only part of the nose and the mouth, because the photo doesn't adjust itself to the new orientation. This app has failed were others have succeeded.
Also when importing photos the photo will lose 10% or 20% of it's contents in the periphery. So part of the hair and part of the chin will be lost ( in a face photo). The problem is you can not pan or crop or resize photos in this app. So you will be stuck with what you get, no menus or tools or anything else to fix or tweak the photos in this app. ( so disappointed )
On a side note, I have done this idea before (making photo virtual albums with page turning and it was easy too). All I needed to do was inserting photos in a Pages or Word blank pages then saving them as PDF. There after I convert them from PDF to ePub and add the file to my eBooks through iTune and there it is ( Voila! ) = a photo album in my eBooks library, where I can turn the pages like and ebook.

Sleepin w iPad

Good start. I also really need the app to allow me to resize my images once they are placed into the template. Hopefully the designers will incorporate that function in the next update. Until then I'll stick with Kenote for iPad. When this change is made I'll be upgrading to 4 or 5 stars

Great way to organize you iPad pictures

I seem so me that Apple has not yet come up with a way to organize our photos as the list of pictures gets longer and longer. Collections solves that problem for now.
