Good basic dictionary. Could sometimes do with more detail
Great dictionary w lots of examples, although more is always better
Works well and quickly
So here it is!
Useful
I would've given this 5 stars except for its annoying pop-ups repeatedly asking me to give it 5 stars.
When I search for a word, I should be able to listen. And I do not see the connection between the application and the website. I was encouraged by the website to buy this application and I realize it’s not just what I expected to have
The daily word does not arrive daily. It stays on same word for weeks. Also I need it to be a daily French word not English in order to improve my vocab. Thanks
I looked up a French word that is obviously a present participle. Collins’ only suggestion was an unrelated word with the same two letters. Another on-line dictionary - free - gave 7 different uses of the present participle. For the infinitive, Collins gave one. This is typical of my experience with this dictionary. Totally disappointing and certainly not worth paying for.

This is the best French Dictionary for the iPad. It is straight forward, easy to use, especially for the second language user. Thank you.
Great app for learning and for revision. Easy to use and invaluable dictionary resource.

A really useful app. I don’t know what I’d do without it on my visits to France!
Good basic dictionary. Could sometimes do with more detail
For the price this is a good dictionary. However, I would find it more efficient if I could customise settings. Eg changing the English to French default to French to English so that it opened to my own preference every time.
Mostly boring obvious words. Could there also be phrases?
Very easy to use and an ideal accompaniment to a language course. The daily word is another useful addition.
Quick and easy to use. It provides a very useful ‘history’ section which can be used as a learning tool for words previously looked up. Also, there is the option of hearing French words and phrases fluently spoken.
But the product—which I paid $20 for—asks me to rate it five stars every time it opens. This impedes usage of the app, forcing you to click through the pop-up, and is also, even existentially, extremely annoying. No one should be constantly asked to perform this free labour and service for an app that is so costly! Maybe stick with the website (which is free) if you can, until they fix this annoying problem.
