This is misleading even if you purchase 7 days subscription. They continue to bill you each week and still trying to receive a refund. The app was difficult to navigate, not worth purchasing.

This app used to have a minimal one time cost to it or perhaps it was even free. It was awesome a few years ago as the ratings from then say. More recently however someone decided to milk the app for all they could. You have to sign up for a subscription at $4.99 a week that renews automatically. You get the information for a brief time only, which is alright if you just want to look at the info while you spend a few days in CW. However you have to pay through the nose if you want to look at the information later at your own leisure. Just buy a book in the gift shop first.

A wealth of information
At first this app did take quite a while to download, and the first few times I tried to open it, it seemed to have to download everything each time. So I was afraid the other reviewers were right about it not working. However, that stopped after a few times and now it opens rather quickly. The amount of information on each building is great! Especially since I visited during COVID and most of the buildings are closed. It tells you what each building is, whether it’s original or reconstructed, who owned the buildings, what the building was used for and other historical information, even places where Washington mentioned in his diaries he visited. There are also videos for some of the buildings which was especially nice for the ones I wasn’t able to go into. Several days after being back from Williamsburg I am still reviewing this info and getting a better and better understanding of the town and life during the colonial period. This is a great app if you give it a chance.

It freezes
I have not been able to use it. It just won’t open, saying there has been an error and prompting me to try another time.

I just downloaded this and I am getting the same junket message.
Don’t buy
Even after 2 days with WiFi it never would load. Could never open.
Downloaded and that was as far as I got
Downloaded this app 3 days ago and then the Junket appeared...that is as far as I got. Not of much use if I can’t get past this point.
Complete and Immersive Tour
This tour was really helpful before getting to colonial williamsburg and while there. Each location has audio narration and images, and sometimes video. It's the best guide to the area and is easy to use- relevant to your location and lets you search by name, or can scroll through the list. If you're going to CW or just curious, get this app!

No idea what cell carrier the other reviewer was using but mine downloaded very quickly.
Beware huge download
This app has such a huge download to do after installation that it never finished before we had to leave Williamsburg. And now Apple refuses to refund. Waste of money if you can't use the app!

I expected a lot more information. Still, probablu the best extra guide available.
Nice
The app is so nice. It will take you to more than 150 locations throught Colonial Williamsburg, with nearly three hours of audio narration by voice actors to tell you everything you need.
Easy too use flags app.
This app is very easy too use app you can look up different flags around the world and you can use the gps too find the flags on the map.

The colonial Williamsburg tour is excellent.
Very very cool. Should build apps like this for other historical tours as well. People will remember history more accurately with the more interactive tours. Very pleasant tour guides. Nice app overall. Well done.
Excellent App!
I downloaded this app because one, I wanted to learn more about the history of Colonial Williamsburg and two, I am planning on visiting soon with family. This app gives you everything and so much information than you'd want! I love how it has a GPS and all you have to do is walk up to something you are interested in and want to learn more about it and it'll tell you everything you need to know about it. I definitely recommend you this app!

Love american history
American history was my favorite subject back in high school. Great to see apps like this preserving our culture, huge amount of information in this. Will be showing my kids!
