Didn’t used to have ads and they recently added it. Now it just loops ads and they expect you to pay. RIP

App is completely unstable
If you’re gonna launch a new feature like Rush, ensure your service can handle the load. The lag on mobile will regularly skip 2-4 turns, making this format impossible to play.

Reporting users doen't help
Users have become toxic over the past few months. Matched with a griefer. Reported the user. Game made sure to match with them 5 more times. Back to back. 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼
Worst set up ever
The original game great but the way admins set up this app is terrible. Pretty sure dice are not random at all, the game favors certain players (most likely the ones who pay for premium). They keep trying to fix things but they can’t fix something so obvious like players cheating and let bots place things for them then get good set ups and win the game so your score goes down but cheaters goes up. It should be changed as once bot placing things for you then you can’t get back in the game or if you win you shouldn’t be given higher score since you were cheating. Most people are rude and you keep reporting them but nothing gets done. You can’t block players. I think I should be able to block someone who disrespect me or cheated to avoid playing with them. When you do report, there aren’t a lot of options to report certain things. Admins don’t answer emails or respond to unhappy users, how to you want people to want pay if you’re ignorant? They set up certain people to win from get go so you have more than 7 cards and will roll 7 and lose half of them but they will have 20 and get good rolls. The set up winner will have low roll numbers and have this number more often than high rolls. People allowed to bully each other by keep robbing people who they don’t like rather than someone who has high points. It should be banned!!! Again, game is good but admins made it terrible and want us to pay! Heck no!!! Until you change things you won’t get my money. You can’t block players keep scamming the rest

Horrible RNG
The game will always roll a 7 after building or getting a dev card. Once the opponent is behind the game will roll a 7, then proceed to roll the number that gets blocked. Let alone roll the resource that the opponent needs regardless of how trash the number is. Not even balanced. Doesn’t matter how good your spots are.

Developers obviously have an algorithm that pushes the dice results in certain directions, instead of being random. Not realistic to real Catan. No fun.

once play a few hundred 1v1 games and you’ll start to realize that this game selects a winner, obviously to drive engagement and encourage addiction. COD does the same thing with lobby selection and hitbox modulation. colonist does this by scripting sevens. devs call it “balanced sevens” but every game there’s an obviously advantaged player.

Got greedy with ads
Why must I watch an ad every time I want to play a round. Ever since this change has been implemented it seems like player count has dropped and it is much harder to find games.

I enjoy playing this game, but find some of the chat/community toxic, especially towards female players.
Nice game terrible management
Sadly without any explanation I was banned from tournaments. I tried to contact support but the GM never replied back. I loved the game but also being competitive this make my interest to drop to 0
Best app for the best board game
The Colonist Rush game mode is probably my favourite mobile game there is. It’s Catan at a speed everyone should play at. No turns, and 10 seconds to trade or build before a robber could be rolled. The subscription is expensive but you don’t need it to play in random lobbies (thank you colonist), the developers are passionate and regularly update the game. Gona have to convince one of my friends to buy it so we can all play together lmao. Thank you Colonist, maybe I’ll see you in a tournament.

Yeah first game vs bots and it skipped my turn twice. Rolled a 7 and no option to move the robber. Only collected the resources from one of my settlements on the game start.
