Nice idea but basic

I think this is a great idea for an app but at the moment it would only be any use for someone who really doesn’t have a clue about colour basic combinations. More development to include patterns etc would help this app become so much more. It isn’t something I use at the moment, perhaps later if it is improved.

Great App!

Love the app. Helps me alot. A quick request/suggestion. You should add dial colour as well when we get colour ideas for watches to match. Thanks!

Great App Idea!

This app is a fantastic tool and the idea/concept is great. It has so much room to grow with future releases & I am looking forward to seeing what’s coming down the track. The option to build your own ‘wardrobe’, of garments you own, so the suggestions are limited to what you have available, would be a major plus!

Good but needs more choices

Would be nice to be able to start with a shirt color instead of just the jacket/trousers. Would also be nice to have images of actual articles of clothing instead of renderings. Would gladly pay more if there was more functionality.

Good Idea but sadly no Updates since january

I really hoped there would be more content.

Good for some color inspiration.

I understand ask okey is modest but not so with color so it surprised me there are some areas left out.
I was trying to find some combinations for some pink and lavender ties and that was absent which is something small but I wish it did have those options. Considering proff wears a full pink suit I don’t think I’m being too loud.

AskOkey is busy with their release of their MTM and looking at the update history it’s been a while so it might be a while longer for more options to be added.

It would also be interesting to be able to go in reverse for example having an accessory like a tie or waistcoat and working backwards through jacket and trouser combinations

Overall for the price it’s good but it has some room for growth

I love the app, it has helped me color coordinate so much better, easier, and more confidently especially when wearing a shirt color other than white.

The only feature that I wish it had was an option for suspender / brace color. Yes, I know, they shouldn’t show. However, it is impractical for those of us working in hot and humid climates to sit at our desks all day wearing a jacket or sports coat. I may be in the minority but I would dearly love and appreciate an option to help me color match my braces to my outfit. Otherwise, it’s a great app. Thank you for creating it for us.

Needs A LOT of work

… to be useful.

The team seems to think there are only four colours of shirt in existence.

The graphics bizarrely separate shoes from the outfit. And apparently there are have only ever been two colours of shoe ever made.

Random colour combinations like brown blue and pink are encouraged.

Generic advice on socks and watch doesn’t change, so is effectively redundant.

Takes no account of skin tone.

This is at best a prototype.

In the meantime Google SuitSupply Lookbuilder and thank me later.

Just one issue!

I love the app, but whenever I try to start the outfit with trousers first, it glitches, hovers in between jacket and trousers, and if I attempt to proceed, it starts the outfit with a jacket! As far as insight into colors that work well together, it truly is an invaluable app.

Great app

The app is awesome and really functional. Would love it if there was some sort of function where you could categorize and save some of the outfits as a way to help people save outfits that they liked and wore or even keep inventory of their wardrobe. Great stuff

Response from developer

Thank you Lukambea. We're working on the save feature so please stay tuned for updates!

Thank you for your feedback math_chiang. We're working on adding patterns, more color combinations and saving to a library so please stay tuned for updates.

Good, but missing some things

I was expecting materials and it showing each color for the waistcoats and pocket square. So you could imagine I was disappointed when I looked and it just had some text that told me what to put with it. So it would be better if it removed text, added different materials, and used waistcoats pictures and more shoes.

Response from developer

We're adding patterns to the app very soon so please stay tuned for updates. The text is only used for garments that have a variety of options or choices. Every thing else can be visualized in the app. For waistcoat pictures, can you please share what you're looking for? (You can email us at support@askokey.com)

Does exactly what is says

Great app! I’d been looking for something similar for a long time. Great if you’re looking for some idea on how to style your outfit, great price and usability!
One thing I would love to see though: The ability to have some kind of “experiment mode” where we can mix and match all colours just to see what it would like with some “less optimal” combinations. Even tho the colours provided here are exactly how they should be paired, I’d love to have a separate way, like a toggle, to go into that other mode, just to test out something and see if some weird match would suit a particular need. Thanks Proff!

Has potential but IMO isn’t there yet

The concept of this app is wonderful, but in the current iteration, it only lets you build a suited outfit. As someone that works in a very conservative corporate setting, even I don’t always have to be in a full suit, and support for business casual styles would be a great addition.

Response from developer

Thank you for your feedback avimaria. We're adding more visual options. However, in the meantime, please note that you can still use Color Genie for business casuals since the colors will still work. Either way, we'll be adding more garments so it makes it easier to visualize so please stay tuned for updates

Good and simple

Well-made overlays and designs. However, a few more colors and patterns could be added.

Response from developer

Thank you leon. We're working on adding patterns and more color combinations so please stay tuned for updates!

Lack of options

The app works perfectly without any bugs. However, it would be even better if there were more pattern options for both suits and trousers, such as stripes, checks, and others.

Response from developer

Thank you MakGir. We're working on adding patterns so please stay tuned for updates!

Very handy for me as a colorblind person!

It helps me to pick my morning outfit before work real quick! However, there are only few options for odd vests. Also, I wish one could scan the color of the jacket. And also please add different patterns!

Thank you very much for this app! Works flawless:)

Response from developer

Thank you for your kind words and suggestions, Eli! We're currently working on patterns, so please stay tuned for updates

Most useful app

This app really helps with combinations and figuring out what to add to the wardrobe.

One of PROFF and his team’s best work.

Response from developer

Thank you so much for your kind words, Julien!

Key feature needed

One thing i think could be usefull could be pattern selection after color picking but aside from that, this is a great app

Response from developer

Thank you Sir sparrow! Patterns are our most requested feature and our team is currently working on this. Please stay tuned for updates

Much needed!

I’ve been wanting an app like this for color planning suits and outfits! Thanks Prof and team!

Response from developer

Thank you epicsenpai! Glad you're enjoying Color Genie
