Awesome App

The best color match app that I have come across! Work well for trouble shooting or color matching.

great

Using it for my Bio experiment! It’s perfect because all types of color values are shown!! The ads are also don’t bother at all!! Great app

Absolutely horrible app

This app is horrible, it totally does not work. Absolutely horrible

Great app, works like a charm!

This is a very handy app for colour identification in the RGB format. Very easy to use. Features a crosshair tool to hone in on the desired colour.

USC chem 108 lab

Had to use this for chem lab in like basically all the chem labs. Don’t think the measurements r accurate, but hey still getting a 10/10 on those lab reports and that’s all that matters

Can this app read raw data from camera?

I think this app only read the color from screen instead of camera raw data. Results depend on your phone’s camera model which is modified by apple. But reading the color of local pictures works fine.

Useful but limited

The app provides color data for either a center point in the camera view or in an image. Accuracy is limited by the iPhone's automatic white balance, so if the image or scene you're looking at isn't already well lit and color balanced, this app will give you inaccurate results.

I tried this out to see if it could be used for a rudimentary color calibration on my monitor. It's OK for balancing r/g/b on a pure white screen at 6500k, but there is no way to know how the auto white balance is throwing off the measurements.

Ads are not intrusive, but do track you. If the author can find a way around the auto white balance problem and disable tracking, this could be a useful app. If the author allowed you to calibrate the camera part of the app with reference objects (such as camera calibration cards) this could potentially be used for very basic, very rudimentary monitor color calibration.

Good for adjusting monitor white balance

It's a useful tool to measure rgb for white balance calibration on your monitor if you're not professional and just want to get rid of the reddish/yellowish/blueish

Idk

I just felt like it tbh
