Very good results at affordable price

I have calibrated the app using a white target in a flat dark box illuminated through a circular window and observed by the app through another smaller window next to it. Calibration used the sun, a bright sky, and various bulbs with known colors. After that I checked the color of other LED bulbs of advertised colors but variable intensity. The colors were surprisingly close to the manufacturers specifications and quite independent of intensity. Very satisfying. Quantum mechanics works!

What I’ve always needed

Home repair and decorating is fraught enough without having to argue about eggshell versus linen. It’s hard to bring your 96” wood slat blinds into the store for a color match. This app really works, it uses the camera and torch and a piece of printer paper to capture the true color of things and name and print them. It’s a miracle.

Very Good

I use the app to measure the colour of creams and lotions in a laboratory, it’s saved a fortune in specialist equipment and Munsell card sets.

Color match

Screen printing color match palates, RGB to CMYK, etc. Capture a color in CMYK to use in Paint program and web creation in html color.
Color Meter captures the color from which close variations of that color may be created in the final picture. The program may be useful for demonstrating color blindness, with the RGB numbers from the color on screen, a percentage of green may be lowered to display a percentage of green lost due to this. AI in Premier, input the CMYK percentages of the color as opposed to “Create a green hat”, verbal color names are limited, but CMYK,RGB, and html give a wider spectrum of that color captured in Color Meter, give this app a try. Graphics and color are my passion, my reward was to do this review, free, and in respect for the owner-creator(s) of, COLOr METER.

Very well made app but colour accuracy is uncertain.

I really like the app and it’s well made but testing with some RAL reference sheets I have I am getting very mixed results.

Powerful app for artists, painters and designers

This app automatically converts what the camera sees into several tinting code systems, avoiding recording numbers and using separate apps to convert from RGB to CYMK, etc.
Access to these codes facilitates color matching for calligraphers, makers, painters, interior designers, model builders and other artists.
The addition of a white reference compensates for the change in hues and shades due to lighting variances, and is often not available in similar apps.

A welcome addition to any lab

In combination with a light pad and camera holder, this app allows clean, simple and powerful data transfers for examining changes in transparent media. This set-up allows a more stable and orderly screening process for planned micro-algae growth and dye metabolism.
